WOW what a great find. Thank you Yelp! It's one of those ' hole in the wall ' place that I like to find. Located inside a food court type building on Torrey Pines and West Charleston. I wanted fish initially and I saw they had fried fish and fish taco but thanks to the nice gentleman's recommendation I ended up with fish tacos and other goodies. Awesome value and really good, fresh and flavorful seafood. I love their homemade sauces the seafood comes in! Not super salty but just right. I got some Shrimp, crab cakes and fish tacos to go. They come with sides and when you check-in to Yelp you get a free side offer cajun fries. The crab cakes were to die for. It has no batter and the owner mentioned it's all crab. The seasoning on the crab cakes were on point. Overall, an amazing seafood place that is added to my list to return to.

Yeah, this place hits the summer in stride. It is in the most unlikely of places. A weird, ugly, dirty food "court" (that does nothing to rise to even the minimally generous use of the word), plastered with food advertising posters, next to the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). It is grunge gourmet over here. A kebob shop, a Chinese noodle shop (I think), and maybe some fry shop. And then, "Ahhhhh"...[insert heavenly sound here]...there stands in its glory, The Sandy Crab! A little oasis of steamed snow crab leg clusters, Maryland style crab cakes, New England style bag boils, fish and chips, and shrimp tacos. Sides include garlic fries, potato salad, and cole slaw. Drinks are a pedestrian fountain, supplemented with fancy Pellegrino and fizzy bubbly flavored fruit seltzers. You will want to take it to go [trust me on this], and that is made easier by the drive-through window alongside the building, just for Sandy Crab! (You're still going to have to go inside for your kebab). The crab is steamed fresh and tastes clean. Not out of the ocean fresh, like you are at a seaside shack off a service road in Chesapeake (which would not be snow crabs, but blue crabs, but poetic license here), but that would be an unfair comparison. It is "good enough for government work" in Las Vegas. The crab is reasonably market priced (though not cheap), and changes daily. The crab cakes, well they do Maryland proud. Lump crab is flavorful and balanced without much filler, and what little filler there is, I understand it, healthful and not junk. (Ask the owner about this. He is beyond nice. Pleasant and engaging, he is eager to talk about their food.) The crab boil, (replete with corn, potato, shrimp, crab, and in place of the usual sausage, some sirloin--which was, to be honest, just a tiny bit tough, but otherwise enjoyable), with its garlicky buttery goodness, is about as good or better as the ones you can get from the crop of crab houses that have sprouted up--The Boiling Crab, Urban Crawfish, Crab Corner, and the veteran, Hot 'N Juicy Crawfish, among them. But unlike those, Sandy Crab is unpretentious, unaffected, and unassuming. I will drive through and pick up again.

My wifey and I came here for one of our foodie adventure dates. Customer service we give a 10/10. They were so friendly and accommodating and made our first visit nothing short of spectacular. We ordered the land and sea filet mignon and crab sliders with swirl fries, the abyss, crab cakes, garlic fries, and ended our meal with the Nutella cheesecake. Everything we ordered was so delicious! The crab cakes were perfect, not overly breaded filled with a good amount of crab. The owner gave us all three sauces so that we may try them all. The filet mignon and crab sliders were juicy and a perfect balance with the crab and steak. The mussels were delicious and full of flavor. Thank you Sandy Crab for an unforgettable experience, and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

Two words: tartar sauce! So good! It's homemade with fresh herbs and capers and is really the star of the already good fish n chips. To be honest, you can pretty much put it on anything- it's that good. And I'm not just saying that as far as tartar sauces go, since it is clearly at the top of the heap as far as that's concerned, I mean generally speaking for any condiment or dipping sauce, unless of course you are the type to drown everything in ranch. This is not that type of place. The fish n chips are beer battered with an incredible crunch and texture that makes eating it a sensory delight. Topping it with that tartar sauce takes it from "mmm that's good" to "wow! that's good!" The 1 1/3 lb crab cake was as advertised in size. It's pretty aggressively seasoned for crab, meaning that the heavier flavors can mute the delicate sweetness of the crab (which is the whole point of eating crab) so I would say be prepared for that. The crab cakes come with a choice of accompanying sauces like roumalade and two others. This time, I tried the roumalade which was also very flavorful and had a nice warmth, (not necessarily spicy) although a little heavy for the crab I thought, since I prefer the crab to be the star of the show. I ended up using the tartar sauce with the crab cake, which I thought made a much better and lighter flavor pairing, given the crab cake seasoning. The service was stellar and took our experience over the top. It was nice to see this small business doing their best to serve a fresh approach with homemade, quality food, as well as sauces- not that bottled crap- and putting their spin on some classics that usually aren't done right anymore. We found it to be a much needed, refreshing change from the affordable, but typically mediocre, seafood norm. Located in the Campus Commons Food Court at the back, for anyone confused about it's location.

Just got the shrimp Po Boy and the crab nachos for my family. Both were amazing. The owners are very sweet and are appreciative of their customers.

FABULOUS, FRESH SEAFOOD! Ok, I won't lie, when my friend stopped at the "food court" building, I was very sceptical, very sceptical. She guaranteed me it would be some of the best seafood I had ever eaten. I've eaten seafood all over the world so I was pretty sure she was wrong. She was right! This was some of the best seafood I have ever eaten! I'm debating going back for dinner just so I can try more things on the menu. AMAZING, FRESH AND DELICIOUS SEAFOOD. FRIENDLY, HELPFUL STAFF. YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Saw super high review on here, thought I will try it out. Not sure why some of the viewers said is hard to find, just put it onto your GPS and it take you directly to the spot, I think new people confused because there are few restaurants located in the same building. Just pull in, park and look at the big sign by the road!! Met the guy name Michael, since I never eaten here before, what he would recommend, he was super nice, patiently explain everything for me, great guy. Ordered the crab sandwich. Wow, delicious, I want to order more, but I'm already full. lol Next time, or maybe tonight?
