Our server was rude, sullen and very unfriendly and ruined our whole dining experience! She tried to shame me for my order and literally said” just letting you know, you're ordering the two biggest items on our menu”!
We started with the grilled squid and octopus, which were both nicely flavored and tender. My companion had the Tortelli, which had a nice squash flavor with subtle addition of the sage and brown butter. My schwarma seasoned salmon was wonderful. The lightly crisped skin set off the flesh which melted in my mouth. We finished with the honey cake and sevruga caviar. I would not have ordered any kind of caviar after my few experiences in the past, but it was recommended by a friend. It has such a finely balanced and mutually complimentary set of flavors, with the slightly sweet honey cake, dollops of whipped cream and caviar, that sublime is the only way I can describe it. The service measures up to the great food. All in all, a wonderful experience to be repeated.
Food was delicious. However, our waiter was a bit odd. He didn't take our orders all at once which prolonged our stay there. He would take the appetizer order and then after we finished it he would take our dinner order.
My wife and I sat at the bar for dinner as we were running early for our reservation and the restaurant could not accommodate us. When we pushed for a seat in the bar, the hostess said it would be fine (however, she did not offer this option to us). We ordered appetizers and dinner. All of the food was amazing! The cocktails were also superb. We enjoyed the live piano music during our meal. We will definitely try Olives again when at the Virgin hotel and theater for a show.
This was our 2nd time here and it did not disappoint the food was absolutely delicious. The service was great. We love the live pianist and singer. This is our new go to spot next time we're in vegas. They have the best beef carpacio that i've ever had.
This was our first time visiting since the restaurant moved from Bellagio to Virgin. ambience is quite different -- had a great performer, but he was a bit loud for easy easy conversation. Food and drinks are good as remembered, but the inconvenience of having to cab it from the Strip is a bit of a put-off, so we probably won't return. Great choice if you are staying at Virgin however.
Service and food were both outstanding. We had a couple of snags with items listed on the menu being unavailable, but overall a great experience. Beef carpaccio and tuna tartare apps were delicious. The eggplant parm is the best I've ever tasted, and the OMG Chocolate cake was amazing. Tasty cocktails, too. Highly recommend Olives if you're having a special celebration. If you're lucky, you'll also be serenaded by the amazing singer/piano player in the lounge.
Our second time dining here, shared the lobster spaghettini with daughter who was visiting us from college and husband had the potato mushroom ravioli. Both dishes were excellent, just can not even explain the level of flavors in both dishes. The lobster spaghettini dish was simple yet so complex with flavor and rich yet not heavy. The ravioli tasted like a combination of traditional pasta and gnocchi to make up the ravioli itself, then topped with shavings of truffle and crispy onion. We started with a bib salad and that was simple but nice way to begin dinner which we shared for the 3 of us. Celebrating our daughters birthday, the environment was beautiful, piano played music in background that we all enjoyed, Billy Joel songs, a bit of everything. Our server was spot on and delivered a fantastic experience for us. Thank you Olives again. We will be back. It's easy to access, valet parking and simple walk into casino. Great place for a special night or to take out of town visitors.
1st time to this location and the food was nothing like when Olives was at Bellagio. The carpaccio had way too much sauce drizzled on top that it dominated the dish. This used to be my favorite as I am a local. The chicken Milanese was over breaded and very dry. So disappointing
Maybe last night was an off night for Olives, due to the service specifically the bar. We came in scattered as a 4 top. 2 at the bar for the first round (13 minutes). 1 at the bar (10 minutes), then we sat for dinner 1 hour later, with a couple rounds of cocktails and wine with dinner. We waited and had to finally ask our server to open the wine (after the first bottle was rubbish) so we could enjoy with our dinner. This was a slower Thursday night and it's Olives. We should have gotten better. The food was even less exciting bordering on lackluster and underwhelming. If we ever do return, it might just be for HH...dropping $700 for everything, there are better choices.

It was fenomenal one of my best experience awesome service great and delicious food and drinks the bread service superb restaurant super nice everyone very professional the caviar appetizer very very delicious the open kitchen is beautiful everything is impeccable clean and the best thing we got to meet the chef owner Super nice person vey humble person Thank you so much!!!!
This place was loud and we had to request to be seated away from the rowdy bar. This clearly annoyed the hostess. Our servers were extremely friendly, but not very attentive. It took a long time to get our orders in. It was difficult to get our drinks refilled or ask for anything. It took a long time to receive our food. Once the meals arrived, everything (but the salads) was overcooked. I'm not sure if the problem was poor preparation or sitting too longer under heat lamps. There are many better and fantastic Italian restaurants in Las Vegas. Save your time, trouble, and money to go elsewhere.
Terrible service and food. We had to bus our own table and the food was terrible. Todd English would be rolling over in his grave if he knew how bad a restaurant was with his name on it
Aldo great waiter and kudos to his bus boy best i ever had. i made sure to tell manager. 3 ppeople can split 1 chicken parm. and had squash ravioli. both hot and delish. Desserts were great and topped off meal with a cup of decaf again served hot!
Everything was Very salty. Asked my waiter is this normal and his response was just a nod. The best thing was the pizza. Meatballs were salty and the ravioli was just as bad. Sorry won't be back. For the price and quality of food I will go back to Capos.
