Visited right before Vegas had shut down. Very nice, elegant restaurant located in the Waldorf Astoria (formerly the Mandarin Oriental). Great good, and excellent filet mignon. While not cheap, it is not not as costly as some other fine dining establishments in Vegas, so relative to those it's a good value. Very nice views of the strip as well.

I came to Twist for my birthday this year and I have to say, the experience really does not disappoint. In my opinion, it is one of the best restaurants in Vegas. It was one my first time at a Pierre Gagnaire restaurant and it was overall a wonderful experience. It would not be an understatement to say this is one of the best restaurants in Vegas. Atmosphere: It is one of the most delightful atmospheres. It is high up on the Waldorf Astoria with a view of the strip. If anything, it has one of the best views from restaurants in Vegas. Service: 5 stars, attentive and helpful. The conversations were great as well. Food: We ordered the tasting menu. Would definitely say it's very langostín based. Every dish was prepared incredibly well. I would say the gnocchis were definitely my favorite. Great wine selection as you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Overall very good food, it's a lot less French than you would expect and much more contemporary than many of the French counterparts in Vegas. Overall 5/5

By far, my favorite dining experience here in Las Vegas.Staff is super attentive, the chefs always producing the most creative meals. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Restaurant was fairly empty at 8 pm which was ok because we expected great service. We explained at time of reservation and to staff/waiter on arrival about serious seafood allergies. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing. The first dish brought to us was covered in cavier and I had to ask it to be removed. The second dish which we did consume (a small gelatin square ..amuse bouche) we were subsequently told it contained seaweed and some cross contamination. The remaing dishes were less than average. Many we tasted and chose not to eat. The wines were great and the saving grace of the meal. Due to the lack of people in the restaurant the numerous long conversations from our server with the couple next to us was unusually distracting. It was difficult to avoid and disruptive to what should have been an intimate dinner. The staff did remove the cost of one of the meals and discounted the wine (we did not complain or request this) due to the mistakes on the allergies. I added the cost of the discounts to the 20% tip as the entire staff typically shares in this and rely on it. Over all the view, ambiance and wine were worth the trip. The experience itself was not worth the cost. The lack of attention to the allergy twice is unforgivable. The kitchen here is an epic fail. Thank God for the wine and an Epipen!

We had been to most of the fine dining places in Vegas, and this one was definitely one of the best. Great ambience. The degustation menu was great and tasty. Attentive service. Good wine list. A great option in Vegas.

It was a birthday dinner for my partner. Slightly underwhelming for a restaurant at this level. Food was ok, certainly had good and mediocre bits. For instance paid $20 dollar extra for a cheese platter received a plate mixed with fried cheeseballs and bland hard cheese. Venison was good and so was the dessert. But the rest of the menu felt like fillers rather than master pieces.

What a perfect place for a date or special evening. We had wanted to dine here for the longest time but just hadn't made it until recently. The restaurant is located way up at the Waldorf Astoria near the hotel registration and tea lounge. We arrived a few minutes before opening but they gladly took us to our seats and told us it would be a few minutes before we were served. Our table was next to the window overlooking the strip, such a perfect view. We actually didn't wait long before our server showed up. The spread they bring out before dinner was quite impressive. Even though portions are small, it's very filling. Luckily we were able to do tasting menus, I went with vegetarian and my husband went with the regular tasting menu. Everything was delicious and so beautifully created. A lot of thought and artistic design went down to even the dishes the meals were served on. I loved every part of the meal. For dessert we got the trio and I was shocked at which ones I liked most. After dessert came out some petit fours. I loved it all. Then to end they gave us a sweet parting gift of chocolate balls and homemade caramels! Yum! There's no complaint about this meal. The service, to presentation, to taste, meal timing, and view were perfection.

Twist was a fantastic surprise for us. We did know about this restaurant before we arrived in Las Vegas. The view from our window side table was fantastic. We had the tasting menu and wine pairings (check out the pictures of the beautiful food). The service was friendly and professional. We really enjoyed discussing the wine choices they made for us.

We got the tasting menu with wine pairings. Simply wonderful in every respect. We had not been there for four years and it was better than we remembered. If we could get to Las Vegas more often we would dine here more often!

I stopped by for lunch while I was in town a couple of weeks ago. The place was pretty empty so I sat at the bar. I felt bad for the bartender because he seemed to be the only person working, so service was a bit slow.

Was bummed we couldn't get the tasting menu, would def like to come back to try it! Also felt like the waiter tried to up sell us on everything but otherwise loved it! Would come back.

From the moment I walked in until I left, wow. The atmosphere the waiter's the attention to detail outstanding. And the food was simply amazing. I don't have anything negative to say, everything was PERFECT.

Since the Tea lounge had an event, our Afternoon Tea was relocated across the way at Twist. They accommodated all six of us quite well and offered us a very nice tea service with added mimosas. All of us had quite a lovely time at Twist! The tea offerings were great as there was something for everyone. All of us ordered something different so we could try each others tea selections which was nice. The scones were wonderful with the traditional lemon curd and clotted cream- very delish! As for the savories served, everything was wonderful. My favorite was the Coronation Chicken sandwiches, that is so very British! I love Coronation Chicken Salad sandwiches when I visit the UK- great details! The sweets were divine, every one of them! They were beautiful in detail and tasted just as nice. At the end of Tea, the servers brought out cupcakes for three of the ladies (including myself) since we were celebrating our birthday month! Everything from the first pour until the last bite was excellent. There a few places in Vegas that do a nice Afternoon Tea and if you are looking for one, I recommend Waldorf Astoria!
