My food came out burnt. The server was nice but the food takes forever. They were decorating for an event, I assume. They we're literally moving a ladder around the dinning room and stapling while guest were eating. The food is not anything special. I find it basic and overpriced.

Four! This place sits on one of the ultimate golf courses, challenging in the country in my opinion. Oscar, My server / bartender was super attentive and very friendly. I had the chicken fried steak which was so tender and delicious could cut it with a fork gravy was excellent! I had a Long Island iced tea, a favorite, and he made it purely top shelf style and it tasted every bit the same. He later suggested the carrot cake, I went for it and I was not disappointed at all. If you're in Mesquite or passing through this place is well worth the drive up the hill, the view, and the service along with the food is outstanding!

NOT dog friendly regardless of what the website says. Only service dogs. I guess everybody else lies but we don't so we couldn't eat here unless we left our dogs in the hot car.

Love 1880 but horrible horrible service Cheyenne was just terrible. Never cared about the table got a refill from another waiter. Only cared when the money came out. Other tables were shocked by quick service while we watched people get sat and served their food. Will be back but definitely will ask for a better waitress.

food is great! My go to is the conestoga burger! My only complaint is the hostess from last Thursday 11/6/25 around 5pm was very rude her approach is harsh. She made my wife and I feel like we were bothering her when we arrived. She sat us down and it took a while for us to get a waiter.

Drove out of our way early in the evening of 10/27 to have dinner here, only to be informed by an elderly lady in the parking lot that the restaurant was closed for a private event. Looked at their website again, including the “events” page and no indication of such. Called the restaurant and answering service picked up, she had no clue and suggested that we call again and she would let it ring through. Called again twice and no one ever picked up. Super unprofessional, but we ended up at Cucina Italiana which was great so I guess they did us a favor.

We ordered a chicken Ceasars salad. The chicken is seriously a breaded microwave chicken patty for $16. We got the buried in a bunker and it was seriously served with a jelly packet you would get with your toast at Denny's. The stir fry had over cooked veggies. Very disappointing. It is not really dog friendly. Only service dogs and they don't bring water bowls. Service was okay. We definitely won't be going back.

My husband and I have eaten at the 1880 Grille in the Conestoga Golf Course Clubhouse twice. My husband had the ribs on both visits, and he liked them very much. I had the grilled salmon salad both times, but had the full salad the first time and the half salad the second time. The full salad has a few more greens and one additional salmon fillet. The half salad was just right. Both the ribs and the salad were very flavorful. My husband asked for extra sauce the second time, and the waitress brought a small pitcher of sauce. The inside of the restaurant was rather noisy with lots of people visiting. We asked to be moved out to the patio on the first visit, but there was a large party of visiting golfers just coming in from their game, and they were even noisier than inside! It was a very pleasant temperature on the patio, and much quieter when the golfers went to their shuttle bus. We are new owners of Sun City Mesquite, and are looking forward to eating at the 1880 Grille lots more.
