Came to the restaurant for some nostalgic eating on a road trip, as my husband fondly remembered the general tsar’s chicken. The situation that unfolded was bazar. The hostess, who was very unenthusiastic about her job, just stared at people waiting to be seated as a line began to form. We were second in line and after 20 min of waiting - we asked her if there was a long wait or what was going on. There were plenty of open tables, and her bad attitude cost them our business. She really ruined the experience with her snarky attitude and comments- looks like we would have probably gotten sick from the food anyways- not to mention I feel like I have lung cancer after just walking through this place.

First experience was waiting 30 minutes for somebody to come and get us when there was nobody working in the front and absolutely nobody in the dining room. I have come here since I was a baby. The renovation to the main original entrance is ugly and take you away from the slots and machines. SLOW should describe it here. (As a kid and young adult I came here for a fast dinner experience) very saddened by the lack of care and SLOW moving food… food was cold and sub par. Won’t be coming back here for awhile.
A bit slow waiting to be seated, but beyond that the restaurant was excellent. Ample food and a very pleasant server.

This is a high volume place, with mediocre food and service. The prices are low, and the main benefit is that it is right off I-15 on the way to Las Vegas. I arrive around 6:30 on a Saturday, and there was a long line. I went to ask the cashier about the wait and she abruptly cut me off and told me to ask the host, who was surrounded by impatient diners and couldn’t have answered. After 25 minutes, I was seated at a table the host had to wipe down. The server came over quickly and took my order. Her accent made it difficult to understand and she was not at all welcoming or warm. She served a drink quickly (it was flat because it was pre-opened) and the silverware was not clean. I got a drink replacement from a very apologetic drink runner and eventually got clean silverware. The food came out 20 minutes later, and consisted of a tough/chewy NY strip steak ordered medium rare but cooked to medium well. The baked potato was room temp, and the salad had wilted greens. The rolls were straight from a food service or store. Overall, I’m disappointed. I’ve been here before with more of a 3.5 star experience. The main reason to dine here is convenience and price. The food and service are poor. The drink runner and host were the only folks that seemed to have any customer service training.

Bad service
I was very pleased with the Prime Rib meal here. The meat was real good and the baked potato was phenomenal. I added on a dinner salad and that was excellent as well. You can't beat the price either.

Horrible everybody is rude. Except a couple people at the cashier area. However Gina the manager, pray you don't have to deal with her ever because she's well I'm not going to use bad words here but starts with a B!! And watch out for Jeanette the waitress she is extremely rude, however do not ask her for anything because she will definitely let you know that she doesn't want to get it for you.

We stopped here while passing through town. We waited 15 minutes for a seat, which wasn’t bad. They had a lot of choices, Chinese, Mexican and American food. We ordered The Carne Asada tacos as and app and they were great! We then got the porterhouse special that is $19.99 and it was very good!!! Lastly the grilled chicken sandwhich and it was good as well! Our server became busy and supervisor stepped up to serve us. Great dinner!!!

During our stay at the Hotel, we had occasion to frequent the Virgin River Cafe three times; two breakfasts, and one dinner. Each visit we were greeted & seated quickly, three different waiters / waitresses each time, so no bias on wait staff. Specials were expressed, even though our group was already set on what we wanted to order. Food was excellent, prepared well, and presented nicely. For breakfast you can't go wrong with Deuces, and for dinner, the Prime Rib Special can't be beat, even though I opt'ed for the full price selection.

We were staying in the hotel with friends and had dinner at Virgin River Cafe. We stood in line for maybe about 20 minutes or so. We were sat in a corner booth (table for 5) and the seat was a bit tight. We had to push the table out a bit to be more comfortable. Our server, Carlos, was very nice and attentive.
Food:
Salt & Pepper Pork Chop
Black Bean Shrimp
Porterhouse Steak
Hong Kong Crispy Noodle
My friend cut a piece of his Porterhouse Steak to taste and the pieces I had were delicious. Great seasoning and tender.
The Black & Bean Shrimp was ok. Not the best. The fried rice was also ok. I did however enjoy the noodles. I loved the sauce. The highlight of the night was the porkchop. I loved the lightly battered crispy chops. It was so good. I haven't had a good salt & pepper pork chop like that in a while. Ill definitely return again.
