The entrees vatry from salmon, pork medallions, to beef stroganoff. Menu is posted on line. My fave are the pork medallions, so tender and tasty. The chocolate mousse is the best dessert, sooo smooth! Service is good and the bread is fantastic. I like that the butter is soft already for spreading. worth 5 stars for the price.

If you need 1 good adjective to describe the food and service, "mediocre" is that word!
Took 2 hours to have dinner for 6 people. 2 fish over cooked. 1 plate was cold. Dessert took more than a half hour to get after we ordered them! Our joke was they were growing the hay to feed the cow to get some cream for ice cream and whipped cream. Their idea of a veg was 3 to 4 spears of asparagus. (Why bother then, eh?) Their house dressing for the wilted salad, serviced on an un-chilled plate, was some type of 1000 island, I guess. Kinda looked they tossed leftover ketchup and mayo into a bowl and mixed it.
This is the 4th time I've been here for dinner since they opened it 15+ years ago. I'd never go back again if I could help it. The only reason why I went was for a friend's birthday, but next time I'll inform her that I'm busy that night.
BTW, if you want a better steak, go down to J.T.'s, you'll get better food and better service!

CV Steak is part of the Carson Valley Inn Casino. It's nice inside if you can sit in the back and not have to look at the bright slot machines. The service was prompt and friendly. The dinners were delicious! The Gilled Jumbo Shrimp was wonderful! A very nice experience!

I’ve lived in Gardnerville for 23 years and had never eaten at the steakhouse. My brother and I went last week for dinner and all I can say is wow. First off, the service was top notch. Really impressive. The wait staff was absolutely amazing and perfectly professional. Then the food arrived. Wow again. Filet mignon and lobster and a crab cake. Both were perfectly delicious. Take the time and enjoy this steakhouse
Our Reservation was for 5:30 pm on 2/21/24 a Wednesday Evening, our Waiter Mason was impeccable, his mannerisms were top of the line. He treated us with so much grace, and was very attentive to us as a couple. The Food was prepared as ordered , our (5) course meal was delicious, with exceptional wait staff.Thank you.

Last night understaffed or just not the great experience we generally have. We were a party of six under reservation and had to get our own water refills, no refill on bread as we waited for salad way too long, and top it off with waiter asking if we wanted to see the dessert menu when our Sunset meals came with one. Well, unfortunately, the cannoli was served with a long blond hair garnishment in the whipping cream and my husband's and my ice cream was melting faster than we could eat it. Hot dish perhaps? Entrees when we got them, we're good. We were celebrating 2 February birthdays and waiter didn't seem to care or remember. 5:00 P.M. 6 Guests if manager cares to look into this.

Even though you have to walk through a smoky casino to get there, this place was worth it. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was romantic.
Parking: It's a large parking lot.
Kid-friendliness: Don't bring the kids. It's not that kind of atmosphere.
