Steak tasted like rubber, pretty sure it was frozen, then sat in the frig for a long time.

Disappointing. The food was awful and overpriced. Eggs were undercooked, meat was chicken fried steak was dry and hard. Potato skins were dry and old. Potatoes overcooked. Katies is normally better, but not last night.

Update: one year later the food has improved and prices are fair however service was less than optimal. Waited over 30 minutes to get in. Then waiting again. Finally a Male server that took our order was rude and didnt want to take food, just our drinks, but then back around for our food without causing us to miss multiple things. We ended up getting our own silverware because there wasnt enough. We figured it wad just busy but then he again waved us off as we were waiting agajn to get our check. When we asked cashier to split it he was also rude and could not be troubled despite us apologizing to him and having re explained twice. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, it just wasnt a good one.

Great place to unwind. The food is comfort food and just what is needed after a hard day. Ask for Alley if you want the best server.

Last week we went to Katie's restaurant to try the Friday night prime rib special for the first time, we were deeply disappointed. I had the 10 oz. for $18.99, and my boyfriend had the 14 oz for $25.99, and it arrived lukewarm, mine was full of gristle in every bite, I ate half of it and gave up, his had a high percentage of fat. My clam chowder was ok but actually Progresso is better, but the mashed potatoes and gravy were the one good thing on the plate. We were told by an employee that we needed to get there early on Sundays or as the night went on the quality of the prime rib left goes downhill, that is crazy it should be good no matter what time you arrive. After we finished, we paid our bill and proceeded to get the brownies we love for $2.50 each and were told it would be $7.50 because they had to add a new $2 take out fee...say what? We have been frequent customers when we are in the area but now, I don't want to come back. :(

Katie's has a varied menu with decent specials. Food is good but not great. The staff is always friendly in this family dining venue.
