Pros:
* The food was decent not the best for "soul" food but still enjoyable.
* Portions were okay.
* The ambiance was nice, and the music was good.

Cons:
* Customer service was awful. No greeting when we walked in, the first thing we heard was, "You guys can't eat here because everyone has to be 21+." That was no problem and was understandable so we decided to order to-go, but the staff was unprofessional and seemed bothered
* We had to ask for menus, and despite being a group of five, we were given only one. When we asked for another, the worker seemed annoyed.
* She returned two minutes later, asking if we were ready to order, even though we clearly weren't.
* No substitutions allowed, which was disappointing.
* No tap payments (Apple Pay not accepted) only physical cards or cash.
* The WORST part: After paying, another staff member rudely told us exactly to "ima need you guys to leave the store and wait outside for your food," despite the place being completely empty and we waited at the door. the lot was empty and it was dead in the cafe . She even singled out my sister, telling her directly to leave. i just feel there could've been a better to approach us if it was that big of a deal or even been more friendlier but it just wasn't that

We should've asked for a refund, but we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Overall, a really disappointing and hurtful experience. the ladies just seemed like they didn't wanna do their jobs which sucked to see especially with this being a black restaurant . please don't believe the tiktok/social media hype it's really not worth coming here
I also payed $30 for my meal which is eh

came in not welcoming. Nice scenery but bad service . She was rude and kicked us out as we waited for our food . Completely empty didn’t let us sit or take a second to look at the menu as a paying customer.

Our experience at The Pretty Soul Kitchen was extremely disappointing. Despite having a reservation, the restaurant was unprepared for our arrival. They were holding seats for a party of 10 that was over 30 minutes late and never showed up, leaving us waiting unnecessarily.

We ordered bottomless mimosas for our table of eight, but it took 40 minutes for the first drinks to arrive. After serving just two mimosas, the staff informed us they had run out of champagne and could no longer offer bottomless service. When we requested to simply pay for the one glass we received instead, they refused and insisted on charging us for the full bottomless price—even though they could no longer fulfill the offer.

Instead of discussing the issue with us, the restaurant escalated the situation in the worst way possible. As we attempted to clarify our concerns, we looked up to find that they had called the police, falsely claiming we refused to pay. The manager refused to engage in a conversation to resolve the matter, and rather than addressing their own mistake, they chose to involve law enforcement.

We made it clear that we were more than willing to pay for everything we actually received, but we were met with hostility instead of professionalism. The bartender, Shanelle, and cook, Brooke, were particularly confrontational. It’s deeply disappointing to experience such a lack of professionalism, customer service, and integrity—especially from a Black-owned establishment.

The only bright spot of the visit was our server, who was courteous and just as confused by the situation as we were. However, this experience was a reminder that sometimes, the very businesses meant to serve our community can fail us the most. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone who expects to be treated with respect and dignity.

The macaroni was a really dark brown color with a ton of grease at the bottom of the container. The to go plate didn’t have dividers , so my chicken that they set on top of the greens were soggy. The greens were really good though. I won’t try again

So I came for a visit from Chicago and we went here 3/7/25. We googled and saw a great review so we tried it. Good service and good atmosphere. The soul food rolls had everything but Chicken..I may have saw 2 pieces of chicken throughout the 4 pieces. If there was more chicken they would have been better. The Mac and cheese didn’t have enough cheese, the greens were missing something but the yams were ok. I would prefer them to have been sweeter. We spent $250 for 5 people (2 adults and 3 teens) Definitely NOT WORTH IT. The biggest problem was the restroom. It was clean but smelled like a sewer.. they need to do something about that.. I go to Vegas every year at lease twice. I would not go back to this restaurant.

I was enjoying a few hours away from my kids so decided to stop at this restaurant b/c the first time I came, I had a great experience food was amazing and so was the service. I came in solo and sat at the bar that I made a reservation for. I asked my server as soon as I was seated if they took Apple Pay, she said she’d let me know. I asked her if she could please let me know so I knew if I needed to run to an atm since I left my cards at home. After 15 minutes I asked her if I could order, it took my server a long time to give me my drink, and took about 40 minutes from the time I sat down to get my food. I asked my server when she put my food down, if she ever found out if I could use Apple Pay and she just said (rudely) No I didn’t find out. My food was cold but I was hungry I did eat my catfish and ate as much as the cold grits as possible. Another server could tell I was ready to go as I was trying to get my server’s attention but she was moving quickly around the establishment. I explained to her my issue trying to see if I could use Apple Pay to check out, ahe said no but was kind enough to allow me to cash app her my total so I could leave. I hate I had this experience because I had a great experience the first time I came in but patronizing a place were you’re not asked once if you need anything else and they are moving so quickly they are just dropping plates in front of you is not how I want to enjoy my kid free time. I wish I went somewhere else for Sunday funday.

I just wasn’t impressed with the meal. We spent over $80 for 2 Meals and an Appetizer. Seasoning was off, No tartar sauce for catfish, greens were kinda tuff, MacNCheese, Then the air conditioning was cooling off my hot food. I was so cold I literally got up and went outside to warm up. The Server was amazing, Now the Bathroom needs more than a candle. It stank like Hell, Sewer Smell was terrible. This was our second Soul Food spot, it’s Black History Month!

I was super excited to try this place out for my birthday! Southern/ soul food is one of my all time favorites. I’m always in search of good catfish and greens.

We actually drove all the way from Utah to Vegas to try it. One of my favorite parks of southern places is the southern hospitality. Let me tell you, this place did NOT have it. If you’re looking for somewhere welcoming I’d go somewhere else.

On the website it shows that on Fridays the restaurant closes at 10. Me and my husband made a reservation at 9 I called to tell them I would be about 10 minutes late and they informed me that the kitchen closes at 9 she also said they left a voicemail (they didn’t) saying that they couldn’t accept the reservation. I was able to make a reservation and the hours showed open but they were actually closed. I would fix that! We had to scramble to find somewhere else.

I STILL came back the next day. Because I was really excited about this place. The soul rolls were way too sweet the rest of the food we got was soooo mid. And from the moment we walked in everyone seemed so annoyed. My husband has a knack for seeing the good in people and even he felt weird about how they interacted with us. Mind you we were very nice :(

I was pretty disappointed with the whole experience

I am a Chef here in Las Vegas.

This was our second time coming. First time was great. This time not so much, Ordered 2 sides of yams, asked for them to be sent back. The owner/ manger stated; yes they have been sitting all day I’ll take them off for you. Received the bill and only 1 was removed of the bill. Gratuity was also automaticity added, the first time this was not an issue. I have no problem tipping, however this was not stated as being of such.

The server was great. A young male with light brown/ blonde colored hair. Was on top of his game. Even got the crumbs off the table 10/10.

Dined here with my Wife last night for Valentine’s Day. Key points:

- They were not busy, which I see as a positive. A little telling, though, for 7:30 PM on valentine’s.

- I’m not usually picky about this, but the food was too salty. Especially the greens. The catfish & crawfish etoufee was tasty but still too salty. Grits were a great texture and the only saving grace from the otherwise saltiness of my plate.

- Sweet Tea cocktail was nice.

- The cornbread was awful.

- They didn’t bring out our appetizer. Ended up cancelling it halfway through our entree.

Overall, we were disappointed. I don’t often leave bad reviews or even mid reviews. The atmosphere and ambiance were nice enough. Still can’t give this place more than 2 stars in good conscience. I hope they can rebound and hire some help. It’s very clear they will not coast off a good Keith Lee review for much longer.

We walked in, the aesthetics were cool, we got seated fast, and the presentation was nice…those were the good parts.

We had to ask for a menu that the entire restaurant seemed to be sharing, then the waitress proceeded to go into all of the food they didn’t have(5-6 things) and this included the soul rolls that they are famous for. The food was over salted, over priced, and the drinks were overly sweet. We didn’t get the cabbage we ordered and when we said something and finally got it was NOT worth the 9$, it was basically two spoonfuls of cabbage. As well as the 9$ fried corn with the hot Cheetos, NOT worth the price, and the hot Cheetos were a SMALL sprinkle. As well as with the cabbage, when we attempted to talk to them about it they shrugged it off as if our concern wasn’t their problem.

Ours orders included greens that were very salty, the branzino was NOT fresh and smelled/tasted very fishy, but I will say the Mac n Cheese and corn bread was good. I ordered specifically the shrimp soul bowl which is in the picture below.

Quick to the point.
1. The Cook burnt the Strawberry Waffles, on both orders.
2. Wait time is way too long once seated.... 45min to an hour +.
3. No replacement for the burnt Waffles
4.They don't to-go orders (carry-out) because the cook is to busy.
5. The shrimp and grits dinner has chopped up shrimp tails in the grits.
6. The kitchen smelled smoke during the whole visit.
