Sugar and Spice Pahrump Bistro and Bakery

Three days before my son's wedding I delivered two custom sculptures to be used as cake toppers to Jessica at Sugar and Spice. She received them personally and assured us she was 'working on the layers'. She never delivered any wedding cake at all and now tries to blame an employee for misfiling paperwork; but she had custom made art sitting in her shop and supposed layers prepared for this cake. What did she think the art and layers were for? Her lame excuse is just dodging responsibility. If you have a special occasion, get your cake at Albertsons. They will come through and won't lie to you.

We ordered our wedding cake from sugar and spice, and paid extra for delivery only for it never to arrive! We called the owner on her cell phone several times, and called the bakery several times with no one ever responding. I finally got some answers when I called and my call was finally answered 3 days after our wedding. The excuse was “ I filled it wrong, sorry”. We’ll never do business with sugar and spice again, and would urge others not to go anywhere near this bakery.

Went in and got my dad a strawberry cheesecake for his birthday and a brownie for myself. Both were incredibly delicious and he loved it! Great service, very helpful, and kind.

I would definitely recommend Sugar and Spice. My hubby and I are diabetic so it is nice to have a sugar free choices in our town. So yummy

I want to give a heartfelt Thank you to Jessica and the Sugar and Spice Co. She catered my sons wedding yesterday. Amazing service! She was prompt, made delicious food and created the most beautiful cake I have ever seen. She adjusted to the weather (rain, wind etc..) quickly and gave my family/friends an extraordinary experience. When looking for catering and cakes. I highly recommend her. Hands down the best in Pahrump.

I like to travel, and one of my favorite things is finding hidden gluten free gems. I was impressed to say the least. We met the owner who was more than accommodating and knowledgeable. I ended up with one of almost everything! Breakfast was a Grilled cheese Breakfast Sandwich (bacon, a nice thick layer of egg, pepper jack, sautéed onions and bell peppers). The sandwich held up great and was the perfect start to the day.Next up was a gluten free sugar cookie…. I took a bite and in the middle of chewing stopped to double the label… the texture was so perfect I had second guessed it. After that was a GF chocolate brownie… let’s talk texture. Finding the balance between moist but not dense and fluffy but not dry….. it takes a talent…. This shop 100% has that talent mastered. To say the least, I was impressed at this point. Other great recommendations (all gluten free) cakesicles (like a cake pop of magic shaped like a mini popsicle), peanut butter cookie (*if you crave that PB cookie that screams “home”, look no further.), lemon cookie, pumpkin muffin! Seriously, Jessica DeJarnett and the team at Sugar and Spice Pahrump NAILED the gluten free science. Round of appliance and take a bow!

Have enjoyed the desserts, especially the cheesecake.... a little light in flavor but good and a nice texture.But, not a well rounded place to buy a quick bite. No coffee available because they don't sell enough, no water to buy because it competes w the gas station, and no croissant to buy unless you're buying a sandwich. A little extreme for service.If you check the pricelist for special order cakes.... they are a bit pricey. $50.00 and up for a standard cake is a bit much. Comparison price shopping may not be a bad idea...

! What a delightful surprise to find in this little town. When she said the breakfast sandwich would be life-changing I thought it was a typical hyperbole… she wasn’t just tooting her own horn, she’s a world-class chef in a little town, and a lot of fun to talk to too.

Loved loved loved our special order cookies for my daughter’s bridal shower! We did custom ordered sugar cookies, mini chocolate chip and oatmeal with white chocolate chips! Everyone fought over taking the leftovers home, lol. The sugar cookies were exactly what we wanted, we came up with designs together and the colors were perfect. All cookies were soft and delicious!! I would highly recommend sugar and spice Pahrump, we live in Henderson and it was well worth getting them from Pahrump!

From the moment we walked in the door we could smell the yummy baked goods close. I purchased the "cowboy" cookie and it was delicious and full of nutty, chocolaty, gooey deliciousness. I love anything with oatmeal, but geez this was over-the-top delicious!

I had high hopes for this place but, unfortunately, after seeming to either mislead or forget about my cake tasting 3 times, I have to go somewhere else. I've been attempting to get my wedding cake made by Jessica but she seems spread too thin. Josh attempted to make it right, and I appreciate that very much, I just have lost confidence in Jessica's time and ability to complete my cake.The red velvet cheesecake is incredibly good and they have some sandwiches as well. I wish the situation regarding my cake had been handled better but it is graduation season so maybe that's had an effect.

I never made a review which I should have done last August in regards to my daughters wedding cake. However, of late I’ve learned there was some big altercation and I now feel I’d like to place my review. A dear friend of our family offered to pay for their cake and came up from Vegas and my daughter and her fiancé at the time had one of the owners sketch out a beautiful cake with many details. A while later they tasted the cake samples. The next time was at the wedding reception when we saw the cake and to my surprise it didn’t look anything what they had requested. Because it was their day I did not say anything and after the fact my daughter made a comment how the cake was nothing like what they had ordered. The only thing I vowed to do was never give them any business again because when my daughter called to complain about it the owner asked her why she didn’t bring the cake in if she was dissatisfied???

Incredible service, great goodies. can't wait to come back! Keep up the awesome work!
