Had steamed broccoli, which was good and only slightly chewy. Note to self: microwave broccoli and cauliflower, no better or other way to cook it. Had sweet potatoes with cardamom. First time at Whole Foods that an odd pairing of spice and food complements one another. Then , I had white fish with cardamom. The fish wasn’t totally dry and the cardamom was novel but not necessary.

Whole Foods Market, by and large, does a good, if expensive, job of proving fresh produce, seafood, and specialty items. Since the take-over by Bezos's Amazon, the Reno WFM has declined. The latest travesty is their fresh pizza. We ordered a combo; there was almost NO sauce, so we complained. The staffer recommended a veggie pizza, because it had more sauce. Now, who in their right mind would make a pizza with BROCCOLI? Yup. Lots of broccoli, FRESH tomatoes, and cheese. WORST PIZZA I have ever had!

Great service here. Didn't know they closed at 3 pm, and stopped by around close to around 2:40ish. They were happy to take my order and I was surprised they still had hot coffee! Some places would've dumped it half an hour before close! Was convenient that I was able to pay for a handful of grocery item along with my drink. Made my experience a breeze!

I am not the biggest fan of this particular Whole Foods, however there are a few things I get from here-so I continue to come in and hope people are nice. I have had cashiers completely ignore me, (yet take my money), and others who (mainly one when the Corona thing first hit), who barked at me like I was an idiot-because I truly hadn't seen the yellow lines that weren't even clear yet-and was standing too close to his podium or something. I swear-he was such a j**** and I thought I was where I should be?! Anyway, mostly they are nice, but yes lots is still over priced, so I try to shop at other places. It would be good if they could take down the attitude some of them have down a notch. We are all there just to buy groceries! Thanks for the space to say this!

I was alerted to the fact that Whole Foods had an earlier opening for seniors and went there yesterday to shop. They had posted signs for their business during these covid19 times. One of the requirements was wearing a face mask and that they would provide one if needed. Every thing was orderly and professional. As I was shopping I noticed several customers without masks. I mentioned to several employees but nothing appeared to get done. It should be in their procedures as how to handle. Walkie talkies direct to security and unruly customers escorted out with a no return order. I don't care whether you think this mask venue is nonsense or not. A business does have the right to dictate how they wish to run. You have the right to not patronize. You do not have the right to attempt your own rules "and the rest be damned"

LOVE Whole Foods. Customer service may be slipping a little though. I called the butcher to see if they can make sausage links a little smaller. I end up waisting a lot because I can't eat a whole one. The butcher says they can't make them any smaller because of the virus. What???? Lol

I like this Whole Foods a lot more than my local store. The employees here are super friendly and awesome. There are explicit no smoking signs on the patio and one of the employees actually went out to politely ask a lady to not smoke so close to the building. I feel like most of the times the employees kind of let it slide but I was really appreciative that he went out of his way to do that. There are some Reno touches to this store that include offerings from local businesses in Reno like the Lead Dog beer that they carried. There's also some cute signage that lets you know this is Reno's Whole Foods. They had some really great deals going on at the time including 2 for $6 bottles of Health-Ade kombucha and soups that were also a few bucks off. I had resist getting in on the good deal since I was on vacation. I think the store might be a little bit smaller than other Whole Foods that I've been to but they still had all the different sections, just on a smaller scale.

It turns out that Allegro has been around for about 40 years. Their business model is centered around natural food and treating their employees right which makes it an ideal partner for Whole Foods. Most of their locations are within Whole Foods stores as they are a wholly owned subsidiary.

I've always been a fan of these markets. I had one in my old hometown and it's funny that it literally is in the same condition and size of the Reno one. Small and old. I feel that Whole Foods has really gone downhill since Amazon acquired it several years ago. At first when they made the purchase I thought that this would be a excellent fit for the company. I was hoping that the prices would go down a bit and the service would be even better. And I hoped that the quality of the produce would also improve... well sadly I don't think anything has improved since the acquisition. I have found that the produce has gone way downhill and they are still using plastic boxes to sell Basil for example. That is not ok. They last bundle of basil I bought which was in a plastic box was all black and ruined! I bought 2 boxes since I was making a caprese salad. This was bad I had to go out to Raleys and get yet another boxed basil that was good enough for my salad. The boxes are super annoying... I've been to this location 4 times and it's always very busy. I have found that other grocery stores have much better, fresher produce so I'm probably not going to go back. I think the Trader Joe's is much better. Come on WF get rid of the plastic boxes!

I'm aware that people call it "whole paycheck", and I'll admit that it isn't the cheapest place in town to shop BUT the quality of the food and other products in the store are superior, as is the customer service. Where else can you sample artisan cheeses (they'll even open a package of your choice to try out), exotic fruits, and gourmet organic fresh baked goods?! You can find so many gourmet and specialty items that you can't find anywhere else within over a hundred miles from Reno. Their hot bar is one of my kids favorite places to eat. They call it the Whole Foods buffet! I don't know how they manage to make so many amazing, tasty food items to choose from in such a small space, but I'm so glad that they do. Even their brewery room is awesome! Some people don't even know it's there so it's kind of a secret spot for grabbing some killer craft beer if you're parched from shopping. What about that bakery?! Everything (and I do mean everything) that I have eaten out of their bakery case was to die for! Their creme brûlée and key lime tart are my two faves. Oh yeah, the hand pies rock as well! Now I'd like to talk about the organic selection of well, everything! I'm a huge fan of knowing what my good is made of and from whence it came. No pesticides or chemical fertilizers for this hippie chick and former vegetarian! There are more organic products in this store than there are not so of course I'm in heaven here. They even carry organic soaps, lotions, shampoos, etc, in the fab health and beauty section. If you're an amazon prime member you'll save money every week in particular items they've picked out just for prime members. On top of that, prime members save an extra 10% off of items that are on sale. Can't beat that! One thing that I don't like though, ever since amazon acquired Whole Foods, they've added a few items I'm not fond of. One of them is Cheerios. Of course, I love Cheerios in theory, however, scientists have found hefty amounts of roundup and other pesticides in this cereal. Whole Foods has no business carrying any item that has anything to do with Monsanto. No GMO's or pesticides in our food please. I've contacted their corporate offices in Austin TX to voice my opinion on this. This is the reason they get a 4 star review I stead of a 5. Kind of a shame because I love the place, but they know better than to sell crap.

I have shopped at a number of other Whole Foods locations. This one is not my favorite. 90% of the cashiers are really rude with no personality and seem to hate their job. I will literally get in the longer line just to avoid interacting with some of them (short blonde haired lady I'm looking at you). I like shopping here because it's close to home and the wider selection than most standard grocery stores.

I write this review with regret. I loved shopping at WF and have the Amazon charge card. We bought 2 T-bine steaks for Christmas Day Dinner. We let the butcher pick the steaks...$42.00 worth of steaks. When we opened the butcher paper, we discovered that the fillets were tiny, almost an after thought. Above the fillet on the other side of the top bone was a 4 inch long piece of inedible gristle. And the portion on the other side of the fillet had a piece of gristle all along the edge. I complained to WFs in writing. I received a reply they were looking into it. Absolutely nothing after that. We no longer shop at WF and have found another butcher and fish market. What a shame.

Whole Foods has degraded in the recent pass. For example at their bakery They no longer offer any services. If you want your bread sliced, you have to operate the bread slicing machine yourself. I do not plan to shop here in the future

One of my go to spots in Reno, Whole Foods not only had a nice selection of fresh produce, but it also is a great spot to grab lunch. There is an assortment t of foods to choose from (sushi, pizza, sandwiches, food bar) and you can enjoy you purchase at a friendly wine and food bar (on far right of restaurant) as you enter. Or grab to go...

From my great big cheesy heart I had to share that Whole Foods has the best cheese selection in town hands down!! One of my favorites is the truffle Gouda which is to die for and you just really cant get it anywhere. We come in almost every Sunday to try new or some of our fav cheeses for our weekly Sunday dinner. There's always samples you can try for the cheese deals that week. Yum. Never disappoints!!
