“The food is good but very, very expensive for what you get. We ordered a goat cheese salad that had maybe 4 pieces of lettuce for $16.00. I mean, it was TINY. We even mentioned it to the server who just shrugged and nodded.
The meatballs were nice - 3 of them at $6 each.
The wine choices are nice and the atmosphere is nice.
It is unfortunate that the food is so overpriced... it would be a good place to return to, otherwise.”

There’s plenty of seating, good music and it’s decorated nicely. “Beaujolais has set a new bar for me in regards to dining and service that every restaurant I attend will be compared to in the future.

Located on Riverside drive, the area is alive and quaint. There's a lovely view of the river, and the people walking by makes the area feel very alive. We dined outside, but the inside of Beaujolais was beautiful and home-y.

The menu was diverse and was delicious. For an appetizer my partner and I shared the duck and mushroom cigars which were moist, crunchy, and served over a bed of one of the most delicious sauces I've ever had. For entrees we opted for steak fritz and rack of lamb. The fry sauce was shockingly good, and the lamb was one of the most tender pieces of meat I've eaten. We finished with creme brulee and a surprise from the serving staff, as I had noted it was my partner and I's anniversary, to which they helped us celebrate with a candle on the creme brulee and celebrations from the staff.

Our server Lee was truly the best I've ever experienced in a restaurant, keeping a watchful eye over our experience and carrying himself with an air of professionalism and pride I've never had anywhere else.

This was a special experience for me, I left happy and most importantly my partner left happy. Special thanks to the staff, this will be my go-to for any occasion of meaning in the future.”

Things to account for...

Not the fastest, but not bad, just don't expect it to be a "fast food" kind of place.

A bit pricey, but I've never been let down.

It's in the GSR, so there is plenty of parking...even for a semi.

The bacon cheese fries, are very cheesy...you might want to get extra "plain" fries. (Oh, try adding a Burger patty to 'em)

Short story...
I take the kids here...maybe once a month, they love it!
Tina is always awesome, I think she has been my waitress every time since I've been taking the kids there.

Vegetarian options: They have vegan shakes and fake meat.

“We came during the daytime. Initially, we intended to go to Mimi's Cafe, but it was literally a ghost town, so we walked out of there and headed towards Chillis, but Chillis is undergoing repairs due to a fire so that was closed. We saw Macaroni Grill was close by. My wife and I hadn't eaten there since we were teenagers, and we were reluctantly like oh well, I guess we'll go try it out.

To our pleasant surprise, the interior was absolutely wonderful and there were many patrons there enjoying their meals. The service, from the way we were greeted and seated, to how polite, professional, and personable our waitress was, was refreshing.

Having had sour experiences with the service industry in general in Reno/Sparks, we were overjoyed by the experience we were having. When the appetizer arrived (stuffed mushrooms), we knew we were going to be in for a treat with the entrees, and we were. I had a lighter fare (less than 600 calories for the plate) and it was very tasty, not salty, just seasoned just right. All of the plates were exceptional, highlighting the great care that had gone into them (my wife had a shrimp pasta, and my son had the truffle mac n cheese, I can't pronounce what I had, but they were pasta dumplings with cheese and tomato sauce).

All in all, I couldn't believe how good Macaroni Grill was. All these years I had avoided it over Olive Garden, but it's in a league of its own. I much prefer it to the other Italian restaurants in Reno.”

“I had the teriyaki chicken, beef Bulgogi, and pot stickers. The food is what I can only assume as authentic South Korean cuisine. I tasted multiple flavors my palette has never had. I was open-minded and adventurous with my experience and tried everything that was served. While I didn't care for a few of the textures and flavors, I did thoroughly enjoy the beef bulgogi. It was sliced vary thin, tender, and trimmed nicely with little to no fat. Combined with the Kimchi and rice was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the teriyaki chicken as well in the same fashion. Also, the chicken being brown meat was very flavourful and moist. I will definitely go back in the near future to try a soup. The Tofu House adds variety to a somewhat bland but up and coming area in South Reno.”
