“As usual awesome fare. Luckily the days special was lobster, Thursday I think so enjoyed that. Vlad, our server, was awesome. He was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Everyone in our group of 5 enjoyed their meals. A definite place to return.

Parking: No issues. Seems to have plenty of parking.“

“The wife and I tried Oceano restaurant in the Peppermill Reno for the first time tonight. The ambiance of the restaurant is calming and relaxing. The giant video screens show scenic panarama pictures of exotic locations around the world and local attractions. Very comfortable.

The service was excellent. The server was attentive but not over bearing. He answered all of our questions and was quite pleasant when explaining the nuisances of using the local players card.

The food was a bit of a disappointment. The calamari appetizer had an abundance of a coating and was extremely dry. The actual squid under the coating was tender and did not smell of fish. I would have to pass on this item at this time.

The wife had the seafood combo. The veggies and the couscous were delightful. Well prepared and flavorful. The seafood was inconsistent. The salmon was moist on the inside but one side was a bit burnt. The halibut was over cooked to the point of being dry and chewy. The sea bass was under cooked and mushy. Maybe the chef was having a bad night.

I ordered a seafood linguine. I was surprised at the amount of fish. The linguine was perfect. The sauce for the linguine was different than what I expected. Not bad but different. I would try this dish again just to figure out what the sauce is made of.

I really want to try the calamari next time. I got the Asian ribs, boa bun , & prime rib sliders. ?. All was very yummy. I also got a virgin drink ? that was very tasty. I would recommend reserving a table ahead of time to avoid the wait.“
