About Piatto Reno

Piatto Reno is a restaurant at the lively Reno Public Market. The pasta is exceptional. The fettuccine Alfredo has a rich and creamy Alfredo sauce with just the right amount of garlic. The chicken added to it is perfectly cooked, moist, and has great flavor. The portion size is large, so come hungry. The five cheese tortellini has delicious cheese on the outside and inside. The vodka penne is perfect. The carnivore plate is a bonafide Carnivore Plate at a somewhat reasonable price. The carnivore surf and turf may cost $25, but there is an entire NY strip, 6-8 nice size shrimp and at least an 8 oz salmon filet with the skin prepared for eating. It is butter poached and tasty. The carnivore salmon and eggs is excellent. The salmon could have been a little less done, maybe same with the steak. The tiramisu is gritty tasting and missing both the marscapone and the whipped cream. The meat is a little pricey. The public market is fun once in a while. The atmosphere gets 4 stars.
