“This has become a tradition for us. Every time we come to Reno, we eat here. Cozy and lovely place. Not to mention the food that’s so yummy 🤤. The latest great change was in the kids menu, now they have pictures of the meals and I think that was an excellent idea to get the little ones to eat better.“

These servers work hard for a cheap menu, so I tipped her 35%! Walked here from Circus Circus. Not a bad walk, expected lots of homeless and trash but it was clean. There’s a beer festival tomorrow, so maybe that’s why. They closed Virginia St. There are lots of Bird Scooters, so rented one to get back to hotel. June 2026“

“Friendly staff and exceptional service I was so pleased with the food and the staff was phenomenal our waitress was ontop of our drinks and it was packed you can tell that the staff here enjoy their job and the manager was right out there helping I highly recommend a visit here Thank you for the great food and service while we were there“

“Our waitress Kathleen was very perfesional took our brought Our food out hot checked on us kept our drinks refilled and she was the only server and she had like 6 other tables and she gave everyone the same courtesy service she was amazing our bill was 42.06 we gave her 100.00 bill and told her no change back and when we left I slid her another 20 just for her humble ADDITUDE she never not once got frustrated she had tables doing to go and cashing out her guest I'm team Kathleen“

“I play some music for a group called Gatekeepers that has meetings at this restaurant. We recently used their private room and had great food service. The staff were really friendly.
Planning to return in a couple of weeks.“

“We’ve been coming to Hometown Café for a little over 13 years, service is fantastic. Food is amazing. What could you ask for? So good! Definitely recommend the chicken fried steak or the yummy Crab cake Benedict!“
