“I like to believe that most eating experiences are hallmarked by *one* offering; that one standout entree that succeeds beyond accoutrements that might convince you to return. It's a rarity to visit somewhere that succeeds in EVERY regard and offering, but that's exactly what Whispering Vine accomplished.

Each and every thing I ordered (Golden Hour cocktail, Truffle Tater Tots, Garden Salad, Bison Sliders) was packed with flavor and engaging consistencies. The smaller portions here actually feel by design to accentuate dishes that clearly have a lot of thought and intent put into them, and the influence of a dedicated chef here is felt.

The atmosphere is cozy, the service was speedy and attentive, and outside of dining, they offer a surplus of wine and spirits for purchase that I've never been disappointed in.“

“They have a nice wine selection to go with a full bar and the prices are pretty reasonable. There's a nice selection of bites to go along with your drinks. The staff is really friendly and makes every effort to take care of all their customers no matter how busy it gets. I usually go there to listen to the music. They have a website you can check out to see who's playing. I would definitely check this place out if you've never been here. It's worth a look“

“From past experience as a bar back, bar tender, and bar manager, I could tell that there was something “off” with both of the Hosts Wine Bartenders here tonight. I asked if it was the day, September 11th and the Lead Wine Server mentioned that he had once run a 500-person bar. Fair enough and, honestly, my complete fault for asking. They Both looked tired, but were Attentive & Prompt. Solid, The Both of Them. I’ve been around the World, but call Reno “Home”. And, now, This Wine Bar as well. Well Done. You had a “nosy ninny” for a customer and Both of You handled it well. Next time, after asking for a German Riesling but settling for a House White Wine, I’ll be sure to tell you I was the “ninny” that ordered in German. Sorry, I’m a bit scampered when I travel and sometimes switch to German, Castilian Spanish, Portuguese, or Korean. Not to show I’ve traveled, but simply because I am an Old Veteran that sometimes confuses 1987 Federal Republic of Germany with 1997 Korea with 2005 Moron AB, Spain with 2018 Saudi Arabia and then currently where I am. You Both are “Old Souls” - way Older than you look. I appreciate your kindness and will tell everyone that I know from Fallon NAS, the Nevada Air National Guard, and the Army National Guard to come say hi to the both of you every Friday when they travel.
