“Walked in after bad experience at other venue. Place is small and not as packed as the other one so I originally walked passed by.. my mistake and glad I came back. Was able to enjoy a Tito’s Lemonade and Avocado/ Beet Salad Best ever. Did not take pictures but if you are looking for a nice location and energy place to eat then this is the spot. Whispering Vine is unique, charming, and has a wonderful ambiance! Dining out should be an experience, not just eating good food. And the food is very good. The selection of wine is astonishing, and at very good prices! Experiment? Go to an old favorite? Everything is here! If the weather is nice, they have a lovely patio to dine on.

“I previously visited this restaurant at their old location with my daughter and had an amazing experience — the food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic. Because of that, I was excited to try their new, larger location for happy hour with a friend. Unfortunately, the service was really disappointing this time. When we arrived, we both stood at the entrance for several minutes while multiple staff members looked at us but didn’t acknowledge us or explain whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. Eventually someone directed us to a table. We ordered wine and everything seemed fine at first, but our server quickly became unavailable and never checked back in. When our food was delivered by another employee, it was dropped off without utensils or napkins. Happy hour ended at 5:00, and instead of checking on us before then, our server returned afterwards and told us happy hour was over and brought new menus. After finishing our food, we sat with empty glasses and dirty plates while multiple staff walked by without clearing the table or checking on us. After about 10 minutes of waiting with no service, we ended up walking to the bar to pay our bill because no one ever brought it to the table. This was frustrating, especially for a restaurant that presents itself as a higher-end dining experience. I know they’re capable of better based on my previous visit, so hopefully the service improves.“

“I don't really venture out much anymore but had decided while being in Reno to try this establishment because of the reviews. Let me just say they were not wrong. The wine choices were excellent and the food was just as good especially the crab cakes! Everything was reasonably priced and the atmosphere was very laid back. I met Amanda and Chef David as well as others there who very much welcoming. I'll end by saying if you're looking for a place to go and you're a long way from home, like I was from Ohio, don't hesitate to go here. You'll be glad you did and you'll probably end up going back!“

“This IS the best night life place in Reno. Amazing bar, the best people and phenomenal music. We went Thursday and they had live jazz music. It was great! The people working there and the owner who was actually serving and having fun with us and other guests was like just what you want, that welcoming place where everyone knows your name. “A friend treated our family of 6 to dinner at Ruth’s Chris and it was a wonderful evening. Our server Mandie was attentive all night and made sure everyone felt taken care of. The steaks were cooked perfectly — just needed a touch of salt to bring out the flavor, but the quality was there. The potatoes were a great side. Two of our kids ordered the kids’ steak meals with strawberry lemonades. Our 2-year-old loved the steak. The chocolate ice cream that came with the kids’ meals was a huge hit. The onion soup wasn’t really my favorite, but everything else more than made up for it. The ambiance was lovely — perfect for a treat like this. And the mints on the way out were a nice little touch to end the night.“

We were greeted by the owner, the staff was unbelievably welcoming and attentive, the food was delicious. It was definitely a night to remember. We will be going back as often as possible. “This was my second time going here. The first was for lunch and it was great so I wanted to try breakfast. I figured you can’t go wrong with breakfast. My husband and I ate inside this time. I prefer outside which is so pretty but my husband is not a fan of eating outside, so inside it was. Not as pretty inside. Like lunch, so many food choices. My husband and I split the french toast. It tasted like candy and needed very little syrup. Their butter had orange rinds in it. It wasn’t bad, probably should have asked if they had plain butter though. I had a basic breakfast which had eggs and biscuits and gravy. I would rate the biscuits a 3. They were dry and needed the gravy. I’ve been to other places where the biscuits aren’t dry at all. The bacon is thick, so if that’s your preference, this is the place! Service was slow. Seemed to be one lady taking the orders and it took a hit to get our check. I’m not certain I would do breakfast again but definitely would try lunch again. Lunch was a chipotle chicken sandwich and it was delicious !“
