“I am always on the lookout for places that have Hawaii style plate lunch and found this one by chance. Looked really cool in the pics and decided to try them out. They are located on the southside of Reno Tahoe International Airport and tucked away in a small strip mall. The colorful sign above will let you know your in the right place. There are picnic style benches outside and the inside has a few small tables and chairs. The decor of the interior is like an industrial look and if you really want to see this type of look, use their restroom. The menu is not large, but has a good selection. We chose the BBQ chicken plate lunch with a pork street taco on the side. Both came out really fast. The chicken was tender with good flavor, definitely not salty. The pork taco was also very flavorful and messy! This place has limited hours of 10-6pm so you won't be able to eat there anytime you want but it is good.“
“This is my favorite breakfast spot. You have great service. Aaaaammmmazing food with huge portions. The French toast and Relleno Benedict was so frigging good! I highly recommend going here if you are anywhere near any of the Pegg locations.“
“Came in just for mac salad, wish they sold it in a larger size because right now you have to order multiple little cups of it. It was actually pretty good, there were chunks of potato which I thought was odd, but it wasn't too many. Got a shrimp bowl which was good if a little pricey. Staff were friendly, the place just opened but it always seems pretty busy. I'll be back.“
“This was our first time ordering from this location! I ordered something that I've never had, BBQ Beef sandwich. It was amazing! Can't believe it took me this long to try it. The other items that were ordered for my family was great, too. The only thing is they forgot the sauce on the chicken katsu. Other than that, I believe it is worth 5 stars! Hope this helps.“
“I really like the build your own poke bowl here. My wife and I have been getting poke bowls from here for years and it’s always good. Good selection of proteins, and all the other goodies ! They are consistent with all the fresh ingredients. It’s not really an eat at place, I usually get my food to-go, but if your in need of a quick bite they have a few tables to chow down . My go to is a regular with white rice , spicy tuna , salmon , shrimp. The ponzu/spicy Mayo combo for the sauce is bomb !! And then just get whatever veggies you want .“
“I'd never had Hawaiian food before. This place filled a craving I didn't know I had. I was very pleased with this restaurant and went back a second time to make sure it wasn't a fluke....believe it or not, it was even better the second time because I actually had a craving for it. I'm not a macaroni salad person but would eat theirs as a snack any day of the week. I definitely recommend giving them a try.Kid-friendliness: They never made me feel like my wild child was unwelcome or unwanted. The lady who took our orders greeted her with a smile and made small talk with my daughter“
“Oh, a hidden gem that needs me to show it some love! The food and service here are excellent! The menu prices are very reasonable for the amount of food. I have tried the same Ono Pork plate 3 times now because it is so so good! The macaroni salad is on point. I recently tried the Kalua Pork plate, and was not disappointed. The meat was tender and moist. I highly recommend either. Try their Spam Musubi for something a little different. The dining room has about 10 tables. It feels more like a place at home rather than a restaurant. Obviously family is very important to the owners, because of all the family photos on that wall. I love it! The staff have always been very pleasant. I'm getting hungry just writing this review, and think I will take another drive to Aloha Shack!“
