Great Bavarian Restaurant that is closing its doors for g[I'd due to the changing neighborhood and COVID restrictions.The owner is selling and retiring.So sad!!!Great food and friendly service.Very ,old school" with a huge banquet room and lots of dance floor.The bakery and German food grocery store makes this place a "one stop shop" for everything Bavarian.

I was thrilled to find a real German restaurant in reno. I’ve tried everything that sounds German and have been disappointed by every one of them for the most part. Bavarian World not only thrilled me with the authentic environment, the food was almost exactly like what i got back home. The Roladin was better than my mothers. The store was surprisingly stocked with all the right ingredients to be able to cook authentic tasting at home so i stocked up. Go ahead government, shut us down....I’m ready to make some good food if i get stuck at home again. The bread is heavy like it should be and the sour dough to die for. Even in theses times there’s a place to go where you can eat, drink, and enjoy your time doing it. I had a grin on my face from the time i walked in until the time i laid my head down to sleep. Try it, you’ll love it.

We had a great family lunch. There was something for everyone on the menu in the restaurant. I had a tasty weiner snitzel with spaetzle noodles and warm red pickled cabbage. All was delicious. We then headed to the bakery/deli inside. We bought pretzels, rolls, baklava, cannolis, a chocolate covered almond sliver cookie, strawberry cookies and to top it all off an eclair. We had coffee and dessert at home. Everything was scrumptious. We only left over some rolls and pretzels which we put in the freezer for another day. Next time we're going back to try the breakfast menu.

OPEN but Closing SoonLong time family owned restaurant, deli, and market closing as soon as the property is sold. This is great news for the owner but sad news for its patrons. Staff has always been friendly and the food scrumptious. My children and I have many fond memories of their deli with noses scrunched up to the glass delighting in all the pastry treats. We oftentimes order multiple of their pretzel bread sandwiches: delicious soft pretzel bread and I will miss their schnitzel the most. Made to order to be taken home and cooked. Check out this place before it’s gone forever.

Going here takes me back to when I lived in Bavaria. The food is delicious and shopping for the Christmas Lebkuchen Chests is wonderful. Sad to read that it will be closing.
