Really love the decor, art, and ambiance of this place. The food is always good and I cleaned my plate yet again. The server was doing double duty as the hostess and probably could have used some help. Overall really good experience and will return again.

OMG we LOVE Ruth. From the first moment we walked into the restaurant, she was a bright sunshine of hospitality. We had a party of 8 and she quickly got us a table. We were there celebrating my son's 21st birthday. She got him a specialty drink and was on top of getting our order. She made us feel so welcome. After dinner she got my son another drink and also brought him some ice cream and lead all of us in singing Happy Birthday. She hugged my son on his way out and again wished him a happy birthday. Ruth is an absolute gem and I hope we see her again the next time we dine there.

Made a trip from merced ca to Reno NV to visit my brother and we decided to stop in and sample this restaurant Bertha's. Chips and salsa is first served while you wait on your main course and the chips tasted like they are cooked in used grease bad taste and the salsa was a blend of some kind of tomato sauce and lime no taste, I ordered a Chile Reieno rice and beans, rice was over cooked and the beans were under the heating lamp to long. I asked for pico de Ciaho and it was disgusting it was old sitting in a refrigerator to long tomatos we're old no taste just a over all terrible place to eat. The cooks don't care about the food and it seems like the establishment is trying to save a dime on the quality of the food. Disgusting shame on you Bertha's. Go somewhere else people not worth the money and you probably get sick here.

Waiter missed taking to orders then messed up on some orders they put tomatoes on sisters food she is highly allergic and all they did is take tomatoes off and didn't remake food

My wife and I ordered two entrees that included a few items: chile relleno, enchiladas, and tamales. The chips and salsa that preceded the platters were fresh and good. The chile relleno was served in a style I never had in the past but was delicious. It came with sliced almonds and a white sauce. Other entree items were also very good, as were the rice and beans, which were cooked perfectly.
The staff was hard at work, especially the busser who was running around non stop, checking on customers, clearing tables, and refilling the water feature with several buckets of water.
Prices were reasonable and the portion was large. We took back leftovers.
We love the food at Birtha’s and always feel welcomed. Fresh IPAs, fresh margs, excellent food. Thanks for taking such great care of us!

So, we are out of towners, but we stay in the area regularly for work and this place is just down the street from where we stay and we now make a point to come here each time. We love Bertha Miranda's because its warm, friendly, the food is really good and you walk in and before you are seated they have fresh chips and salsa on the table waiting for you! The service is excellent and the food is ready quickly. The drinks are great and we love love love the atmosphere, its bright and charming and truly unique. Bonus--they have vegetarian/vegan options that are really good! My boyfriend is a meat eater but I eat vegetarian, so I really appreciate when we can both find a place we love!
