If you’re at Peppermill in Reno, whether you’re visiting or a local this restaurant is absolutely worth checking out for a dinner date or even a business dinner.

First off, the space is beautiful. The decor is unique and really sets the mood for a nice evening out. The staff was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the menu, which I always appreciate.

Quick heads up though it’s not the easiest place to find from the casino floor because the signage isn’t great. Here’s the trick: just to the left of the check-in area there’s an escalator. Go up, turn right, walk to the end, and you’ve arrived. You’re welcome 😉

Now, onto the food. They have a large seafood selection, which limited what I could personally try, but the staff was incredibly helpful navigating my food allergy. Huge plus there.

The tableside bread service was fantastic fresh and warm, and the sourdough was especially amazing. They also brought out a mango sorbet with champagne as a palate cleanser, which was such a classy, refreshing touch.

I ordered the French onion soup and the handmade fries. The soup was well prepared, and instead of the traditional bread on top, they used puff pastry a fun twist, though it was a little crumbly. The house-made fries were excellent. My only wish? A spicy mustard option to dip them in.

Around the table we had sea bass, steaks, Caesar salad, filet mignon, and lobster bisque and I checked in with everyone. Not a single complaint. Everything got rave reviews.

And don’t skip dessert. We tried them all, and honestly, even if you came just for dessert and drinks, you wouldn’t be disappointed.

Service was okay, but drinks being made tableside slowed everything down and disrupted the timing of the meal. We ordered two steaks cooked medium rare with two sides and a salad. One steak came out undercooked and the other overcooked. The sides and salad were disappointing, the bread ended up being the best part of the dinner. Not worth the price tag we left disappointed with our dining experience.

Bimini Steakhouse is esthetically beautiful. The decor and color theme are very elegant. The service was OK. However, the food, which should be the main vocal-point was regrettably disappointing. The Ceasar Salad had excessive amounts of dressing, making the salad soggy and 'cooked' - not fresh tasting. The onion soup was fairly decent. The Ahi Tuna was good but the plate was poorly garnished. When it came to the steak, which should be the signature item of the restaurant; the meat was over priced and over cooked. The portions of the sides are noticeably minute. For the price of the food that is VERY costly, the quality doesn't equate. Overall the experience was not to such high standard as it should be (not Michelin star worthy) I will not be visiting them again.

We had gone in for my mom’s birthday and had the pleasure of being served by Robert and Bill. Both were phenomenal but ROBERT took the cake (literally!) Coming from a manager of multiple restaurants, he’s definitely someone i’d love to have
on my team. Thank you, Robert, for a lovely evening! And if go, ASK for Robert, he’ll help you the best!! :)

One of my favorite steakhouses in Reno, great service. Have been coming here for years and the service is impeccable.

Several of us were in town for work and went out for dinner here, as the restaurant had great reviews. We all enjoyed our food tremendously.

We all loved the various sides which can be shared, so we ordered most of them to go with our dinner. I had the abalone, as I've always wanted to try it, as well as the many different sides we ordered. Everything we tried, we loved. And our server was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely return to eat here if I was back in the area.

I had high hopes for Bimini. At our table we ordered two filets and one of the 26 oz tomahawk ribeyes. All were pretty disappointing for being nearly $100 each. Of the filets, neither of them were finished. I split the Tomahawk with another diner. It was overcooked and with no crust to be found. It's not often you go to a steakhouse and steak gets left because it just isn't good enough to finish.

The french onion soup was decent and so were the cocktails.

I'll be avoiding Bimini in the future.

I am a bit behind in this review, but I must say this place was really good. My husband and I went there for our anniversary, and it was an incredible experience! We did the Tableside Caesar Salad for two, and they even make the dressing right in front of you! We also had the Tableside Steak Diane, and the show for that was impressive. We shared a side of the Maine Lobster Whipped Potatoes, which was pretty good as well. Since it was our anniversary, we got a dessert and split it. It isn't on their menu now (or perhaps it's only served for special occasions), but I think it was a Chocolate Mousse something (picture is attached). And we also really enjoyed the tableside manner of our server, Robert!

I was really looking forward to celebrating my birthday here, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. If you do decide to visit, I recommend parking in the garage--it's quite a walk from the Virginia Street parking lot. Service started off okay, but the pacing felt off. We were rushed at the beginning, then experienced a long gap after our appetizer, salad, and soup before our entrées arrived. The food itself was just okay, with nothing that truly stood out. From the complimentary bread to the entrées, most dishes were bland, and there wasn't anything we would order again. The Wagyu and Tomahawk steaks tasted as though they were of lesser quality. The King Crab legs were prepared well and easy to eat (market price $141), but still nothing to rave about. This was especially noticeable when compared to several steakhouses we've dined at in Reno and Sparks, and it doesn't come close to the quality of steakhouses in Las Vegas or Hawaii. Desserts were better--the Poached Pear, Cherry Cheesecake, and 6-Layer Chocolate Cake--but even the Banana Foster didn't quite measure up to others I've had. My son did enjoy the Old Forester flight. The Pineapple Margarita was just okay, and my daughter appreciated the server making her an affogato. Oddly, the server used some "sayings" throughout the evening that made us pause. He also didn't acknowledge that it was my birthday, which was disappointing given the occasion and the notation on our reservation. It makes you wonder why there's even a section for accommodations if it doesn't matter. On a positive note, our busser, Spencer, was great and very attentive. Overall, the whole experience fell short of what I had hoped for as a birthday dinner celebration and unfortunately ended the evening on a disappointing note, especially considering the nearly $800 bill.

We went to Bimini on the day after Thanksgiving had a great time. The place is solidly top tier across the board. Everything I tasted was great and the service was fantastic. It’s a pricey place that completely delivers!

Very nice place to eat. Excellent food and service is impeccable. From appetizers to the main course, everything was presented and prepared to high standards. And you get what you pay for, so pricey is definitely inevitable. The house eggnog is the best holiday cocktail I have ever enjoyed. Thanks to the entire staff for a great dinner.

What an absolutely phenomenal experience! The food was exceptional and the staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable. Our waiter, Morgan, was super friendly and made great recommendations. Hats off to Chef Neil who graciously gave my fiance and a tour of their sensational kitchen. I was thoroughly impressed and I will be coming back!

I’ve been to The Peppermill twice and I visited Bimini Steakhouse both times and this is what I think.
Food : Awesome! Steak was tender,Sea bass was fresh and perfectly seasoning.Fries was great! Fresh cut and season with garlic parmesan. What a perfect way to eat fries.Sorbet with a touch of champaign to get ready for main course was a good refreshing And bread basket was super yummy.
Service : Great! And nothing can beat table side old fashioned. They took very good care of us as well.
Vibe : Cozy and classic. Most or maybe all of the seating are boots which we really like.
Reservation recommended.
Next time I’m going to The Peppermill.Bimini will be my first choice for sure.
