Service was EXCELLENT! The space is warm and welcoming and feels upscale. I had a seafood stew which was also excellent but the main courses were totally underwhelming both in taste, consistency and presentation. We each had the chicken picatta - a few chunks of chicken breast and some soggy rice drenched in a sauce which, while edible, tastes like Lean Cuisine. The house martini is great. I subbed gin for the vodka. The sea bass special was underwhelming. The fish was bland and boring. The zucchini noodles amd orzo were very good, which somewhat rescued the dish.
Food was no good. Their rendition of chicken piccata was more like fettuccini Alfredo with a plain chicken breast across the top. The chicken tasted like...a plain chicken breast. It was tender but had zero flavor. It was cooked in anything- simply laid across the top of the pasta dish. My guess is the head chef, if there is one, or the management never tried this dish before.
