My first time eating at the restaurant. I have been to the Happy Hour in the past. Very good!
Bryan our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and his helper was very nice as well. The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent and the dessert was amazing. Thank You for the wonderful dinner.
Service seemed exceedingly long. Waited a long time for a refill. The assistant forgot our straws. Waiter was not punctual on checking on things. Flatbread was burned on one end. Probably won't return.
Very nice place. Excellent food and extraordinary service. Fine dining experience for all. Nothing negative to write about, because it's that good!
Usually, Bistro Napa is a 4.5-5-star experience. This last meal was less than ideal. Our sever, Joe, was very inattentive. We were seated and it took several minutes for him to even give us menus. Then it several more minutes for our orders to be taken. When our main courses arrived, only one was hot. It seemed as if our food had been sitting out for a while before being picked up for our table. We were not checked on during the course of our evening. All of us had neen finished with our meals for quite a while and we had to call our server order so that we could order desserts and get our check. Our server's assistant was the only one paid any sort of attention. If it had been super busy, we would have understood a bit more, but it wasn't that busy. We also noticed the table near us had been unoccupied since we arrived and not once was the table cleared. We have dined at Bistro Napa many, many times and this experience left a sour taste in all our mouths. Hopefully our next dinner will be up to standard.
Food was excellent, service (Crista & Christian) was amazing!! We keep coming back here time and time again for a fantastic experience.
My husband had the Seabass with corn lobster risotto. I had the lamb chops with a pomegranate sauce that was just delicious. They brought us a free appetizer, fig & cheese, crostini. It was my husband‘s birthday so they brought us strawberry shortcake which was so yummy. A bread basket with 4 different types of bread. Love the onion cheese rolls the nut bread. Our server Eddie was excellent! Let me substitute my side plus the busser, a very nice young man constantly kept refilling our water and cleaning our table for us. Beautiful restaurant, not loud on the expensive side, but was worth every penny. Food was delicious and after the end of the meal they even brought two loaf of chocolate chip bread for in the morning ! We have eaten here several times, and will continue to do so, highly recommend!!
My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and were extremely pleased with the quality of food, the food presentation and the attention to detail with everything we ordered. We ordered three appetizers, Crispy Buttermilk Calamari, Grilled Baby Artichokes and a Caramelized Onion and Applewood Smoked Bacon Flatbread Pizza. The calamari was crispy but still fork-cut tender, absolute perfection and the accompanying sauces went wonderfully with the succulent calamari. Baby Artichokes were scrumptious and the flatbread pizza was out of this world. For entrees my husband got the Veal Piccata and I got the Blackened Wild Pacific Prawns. The veal was tender, the pasta amazing and the prawns were delectable. Even the vegetables were so full of flavor. To top everything off we were pleasantly surprised with a complementary slice of Strawberry Cake that was melt-in-your mouth perfection and an order of Candy Floss which was nothing like the stuff you get at a fair. This pink cotton candy had a wonderful hint of coconut and dissolved as soon as it hit your tongue. The entire staff was friendly and attentive and made our special occasion memorable. I highly recommend this establishment for a fine dining experience.
Trying Bistro Napa is must while visiting Reno but it seems that their service is dropping due to more popularity.
Love this place. All the food is great, but I keep coming back for the cioppino. Also love the chocolate chip cake/muffin they give you when you go.

We started at happy hour in the bar (the best happy hour there is!) and then had dinner in the restaurant. Service was fantastic (thank you, Joe!), and the food and drinks were delicious. We'll be back!
Love the Bistro Napa! Great place to celebrate any special event with friends. Staff is very attentive and the food is amazing! The variety of appetizers is diverse and abundant. If you're a cocktail fan, try out the cotton candy martinis . It's a fun drink poured table side!
Restaurant is very nice, i little noisy by the kitchen. Service is the highlight excellent and caring. Food is average, ahi tuna app- refreshing and tasty, steak potatoes and veggies-so so. Fish special good but dry, shrimp with raviolis big and favorable. The amuse-bouche was the tastiest food we ate. $500 bill for four, a bottle of wine $100, no dessert.
Outstanding!
I ate at Bistro Napa for the Vegan Chef Challenge. Buuut they didnt know about the Reno Vegan Chef Challenge even though they were listed on the website. They do have a vegan/vegetarian menu and say that evey option can be made vegan (but my frist time there I tested this out and asked for the eggplant dish to be made vegan and they came back later asking if pasta marinara was ok instead). I ordered the roasted sweet potato and butternut squash this time since its already vegan. In my opinion this was a pretty small and lack luster dish. The cashew cream was bland, tasting only of blended unsalted nuts. They do give you a heap of free bread for the table and cotton candy as dessert so the experience is a 10/10 but the vegan dishes I have had are a 5/10.
