We made the hour drive to Reno very excited to come here. It wasn’t until about 30 minutes before they opened that they posted they would be closed Christmas Eve. Which is ok however it isn’t ok to wait till the last minute to inform people. It then said they would return to normal hours the day after Christmas so again on Friday after the holiday we called but they didn’t open till three so nobody answered. So we made the drive again only to find out via a tiny sign in the door that they were still not open. I understand holiday hours but they need to be posted ahead of time and if you say you’re going to be open you need to be open. Very unimpressed. And a waste of my time and money.

Very unique shakes and sundaes. There are not a lot of ice cream flavors, but shakes and sundaes are the reason you should go.

Most gourmet ice cream and desert parlor you'll ever experience especially in Nevada, the help could be a bit perkier

Really cute ice cream place. Unique milkshake options. Prices are reasonable. Many boardgames to enjoy while you indulge in their savory dessert options. Family-friendly atmosphere. The service was excellent.

Delicious and creative options. There are about 10 flavors that can be mixed and combined with cookies, regular and waffle cones, and other items / toppings. Super friendly team. There are several tables. Free street parking is somewhat limited but we didn't have a problem getting a spot at 8pm on a Tuesday night.. Reasonably priced ice cream parlor. Definitely of my return list.

customer service was sweet, efficient and patient despite how busy the place was. sundae was delicious with both brownies. couldn’t decide between rocky road and banana icecream. lovely bean suggested both, so that’s what i easily got! excited to come back and try more things. appreciate the high energy!

Black Rock is a truly outstanding place to visit if you want a totally fun and indulgent dessert. My family of four visited and order the Trash Fence, and while eating it you’ll feel like the happiest dang trash panda with the tastiest can of sinful delights on the planet.

As you can see from the photos it was utterly wild. It is your five year old self’s dream of the ideal sundae/milkshake thing, in which you point at everything in the store and hit the go button. It’s the equivalent of Candyland in a glass and it is divine. It’s a take no prisoners, not for the faint of heart, mountain of sin in a glass. Enjoy it if you dare the sugar shock—should come with a warning label. Happy eating trash pandas!

The icecream is very icy. Brownie doesn’t look or taste like a brownie.

Absolutely fantastic ice cream. The texture, the flavor, the quantity, everything was great. The waffle cone is thick and great. Highly recommended. We didn’t get a chance to try the shakes, but they looked amazing and very unique.

Ice milk, not ice cream, tasteless flavors, plastic chocolate topping, whip cream, not sweet. Best part was banana. So disappointed! Looked like a dream, taste like sadness. Didn't even finish. Service was good, product bad.

Great locally owned ice cream parlor. All items made in house?
