I had been curious since they opened as I love crabs and seafood. After having the steamed clams and fried calamari I wasn't impressed. The clams were over cooked and chewy and the calamari was also over fried and chewy. We asked for our clams first and quickly received our calamari. The only plus was the $4.00 draft beer. The clams were overpriced. So I guess my one and done arrived.

Absolutely the Worst Service We’ve Ever Experienced
I came here with three other family members, and we all unanimously agreed—this was hands down the worst service any of us have ever had. We’ve all worked in the food and service industry for years, and none of us have experienced anything like this.

We visited on a quiet Tuesday night around 8:30 PM. The restaurant was maybe at 40% capacity, yet it took 20 minutes just to meet our server. We ordered the sautéed seafood bowl, shrimp tacos, regular fries, ultimate crab fries, boneless wings, and two rounds of drinks for all four of us.

Everything arrived except my husband’s boneless wings and our ultimate crab fries, which we waited another 30 minutes for. By the time those finally came, the rest of us had long finished eating. The food was bland and cold, but at that point we were so done, we just wanted to leave and go home to Sacramento.

Our waitress checked on us maybe once every 30 minutes. Most of our time was spent flagging down other servers just to get help. It felt like we were completely forgotten.

My fiancé and brother-in-law spoke to the manager, who seemed to agree that our experience was unacceptable. She implied we’d get a discount—at least 20% off. When the bill came, only my husband’s wings and a returned drink were removed. The total was still $200. We left no tip because the service was that unacceptable.

We’ve made the two-hour drive here before and always enjoyed it in the past—especially on busier days when service was excellent. But after this weekday experience, we’re not sure we’ll be coming back. Even the table next to us had to send food back because it was cold and took forever to arrive. So it definitely wasn’t just us.

If you’re thinking about coming here on a weeknight—don’t. Weekends may still be worth it, but weekdays seem like a completely different restaurant

Went to chicken Pete’s in the grand casino in Reno Nevada on May 9th on Mother’s Day weekend. We wanted the Dungeness crab. Was told by the waitress that they ran out of the crab this morning. So she recommended the loaded cheese and crab fries. They were horrible. There was lots of cheese on top with a sprinkle of crab. We also ordered the buffalo wings. I have never seen wings as large as the ones that was brought to our table. They were the size of a regular drumstick in chicken wing. They were not even cooked all the way through.. We asked for lemon to go in our water. A waitress brought the lemons on a toothpick. And they were all dried out.. if I could give this place a zero I would. I will never eat there again.

First time at this restaurant, service very good, value questionable, very noisy next to the sports betting area

Service was great, however, the food was not. I got a crab cheesesteak and it was super salty. Couldn’t eat it. Fries were ok.

I really had higher expectations of the food here since they are apparently ranked as the best sports bar in the U.S. by ESPN. I wonder how long ago that was awarded. Yes, there are TVs everywhere like any other good sports bar. They have a new beer called GSR light that's only $6 for a tall.

The crab fries were pretty good with the cheese sauce. We also had the crab and street corn nachos and crab cake sandwich. The sandwich was slightly burned on one side. The couple that joined us said their calamari wasn't that great.

If we visit again, we'll keep our hopes up for better quality food. Maybe it was just an off day for the kitchen.

Looks can be deceiving…. I viewed videos and photos of this restaurant and I was really excited to try the seafood. The image showed a whole crab with seasoning and that is not what I received. The crab was already opened and there was no seasoning. I had to ask the server for something (Old Bay , Chesapeake seasoning or something to flavor the crab) to help with the taste. The butter was cold and also had no seasoning.
The server was nice and provided great service. There was a special on beers, which was good when I ate but I came back another day for a beer and did not receive a discount even though “a game” was playing.
The food was basic and the drinks were OK, that’s the reason I gave them a two instead of a one.

We sat at the bar this time and got to watch the hardest working guy in action. Carlos the bartender worked circles around the other staff.

Service at the bar was great but the food was super salty as well as one of the sauces. Hope it was just an off day.

We stopped in Chickie and Pete's on Saturday night for dinner. It's at the GSR resort in Reno. We were quoted 20 min wait, actually waited closer to 50. It's Saturday night, I get it, except the restaurant was half empty when we were seated. Tons of split TVs for game day on the walls, the best part of the atmosphere, honestly.

Waited about 10 min to be greeted, ordered an appetizer and two cocktails. The calamari beat our water to the table. It was all uniform same size pieces, so I assume it's pressed somehow. The marinara that came with it was delicious, the garlic aioli was just ok.

For entrees we got the Cobb salad add chicken, and the crab cake sandwich. They both looked better than they tasted. We immediately wished we had opted to share nachos, those looked amazing.

The Cobb is covered in pickled onion, which raw works better for this kind of salad, and my lettuce was absolutely drenched in ranch. Not even edible. The chicken was precooked and cold, would have been way better hot.

Cocktails were fine, not great and the service when we got it was ok. I'd probably try another restaurant or the buffet next time.

As I’m reading over some food reviews, I’m wondering if people get paid to make some of the good food reviews. The atmosphere and service are what you pay for at this place. The food is subpar poorly presented (look at all the photos) for those prices. Fish tacos come on a skillet-type plate that is cold and the tortillas are cold. Everything g is over sauced and thrown together. If you are trying to satisfy a seafood craving or have any sense with food do not expect to be satisfied at this place. The tomato sauce in the seafood ciopino type dish tasted like soap.

We love this place, every year we come to this place from CA, Kololia was amazing, she was really attentive, and really nice, we are definitely coming back and we are definitely asking for Koko to be our server

The atmosphere is nice. When we went they weren't super busy. We got a nice table away from the bar by the fire place with a view of the mountains and all the big tvs that were playing sports games. The server was friendly and food came out fast. The cocktail that I order was just okay. Lots of fried food on the menu. Most things were just OK, lacking a little in flavor. The parm sandwich was good. The bread made it a little heavy. The chicken parm would be better by itself not as a sandwich.
