I normally don’t do food reviews, but I was genuinely excited to try this place and ended up disappointed. I ordered the Compadre Combo through DoorDash, and the portion didn’t match what they advertise. There was barely any meat, and the beans and rice were much smaller servings than expected. The food itself was dry and pretty average overall.

It was my first time here. & I expected the food to be better. Chicken i ordered for my quesadilla was super dry. I asked for a few chips to give my child & was charged. I have never seen a place charge for chips. Doesn't seem so authentic. Michelada was not fresh they didn't even add ice. The service was a little bit better . Staff was friendly and kind.

Easily one of the best spots in town for birria tacos—flavor, consistency, and service are always on point. You can taste the care in every bite. It’s hard to find places that get the balance right: tender meat, crispy tacos, rich consommé. This place nails it.
They’ve got two locations—one in Lemmon Valley and another in Reno—so no matter where I’m at, it’s an easy stop.
Beyond the food, it’s clear this is a real family-run business that actually values the community. Always respectful, always welcoming, and always putting in work to grow.
