Cluckers in Reno is a must-try. You have to give the fried bologna sandwich a shot—it sounds unexpected, but it’s ridiculously good. The fried chicken never disappoints: crispy, flavorful, and exactly what you’re hoping for every time.
The employees are super friendly and welcoming, and you can tell there’s real pride in ownership here. Add in the fun décor and it just makes the whole experience even better. One of those places you’re genuinely happy to support—and keep coming back to.

CLUCKERS IS BACK!
This is, without a doubt, the best fried chicken sandwich in Reno. Huge thighs that are perfectly breaded and fried. Lots of flavors to choose from. Pictured is the garlic buffalo spicy clucker sandwich.
New location is right in the middle of midtown (no longer on Center St). The storefront is larger and now has a bar!

Sad because I used to love this place and it was 5/5 in my book. I went for the first time after their move and was thrilled that they upgraded to a bigger space. Then the chicken came out and it was cold, stale and dry. Not even the french fries were warm… clearly everything had been premade way in advance and left out for who knows how long before serving. They also got our sauces wrong… Worst of all I had brought out of towners and hyped this place up, only for the meal to be awful. You lost a fan.

When Cluckers was at their original location (Press Start), I would occasionally stop in to grab a chicken sandwich. They were pretty good.
I have now been to their new location twice within a week. The first thing I notice about the new location is the decor. Cluckers now feels like a real restaurant. Everything feels intentional and sets a scene. The addition of a bar makes stopping to grab a bite and a beer even easier.
The servers are attentive and talk very highly of the owners… who live in Reno and run both Cluckers and Brother’s BBQ. They all seem to have curated a customer-first environment where staff works hard to make sure you have everything you need.
Onto the food. While I don’t know if anyone will ever capture the magic of Hey Hey’s, the selection of sauces (I’ve had the honey sriracha and the garlic buffalo on my sandwich), the quality of the cook, their fries!!!… Cluckers has quickly become my favorite stop for spicy fried chicken in Reno.
I truly hope this place becomes a Reno staple. Go to Cluckers and give them your money.

Super cool hole in the wall attached to Press Start. Ordered my food and a guy that seemed drunk walked up asking for a refund because his order was taking too long. At first I was worried but my food came out super fast and the food is delicious.

So.... the food is almost amazing. We got the spicy Sriracha chicken sandwich. Absolutely phenomenal, super juicy, excellent flavor, and a big cut of meat. Also got the fried pickles. Literally the best i have ever had. They are not over breaded and wow do they give a legit portion. I gotta say though, the potato salad was a massive disappointment compared to everything else. Its no different than a tub of pre-made stuff you could get at Smiths. Please Cluckers!?!? Please!!! Make your own. You're so much better than the pre-made crap. Otherwise Absolutely eat here.

I enjoyed the Cowboy Clucker and my wife got the strips. The food was great! Chicken cooked perfectly. Fries were not super crispy but my wife likes them that way. The kid behind the counter was very courteous, attentive, and friendly.
