We arrived for breakfast about 7:15 and were seated at a table that needed to be wiped down. The evening people did not do a good job of cleaning the tables. It made me wonder what else needed to be cleaned. The service was good. The 3 egg omelet was too much for us old people so we split the breakfast. It was just enough for two seniors. There was no senior menu and I'm tired of throwing away food. They did not charge for a split meal.
If you're in the casino it's a convenient option. We were seated quickly, food arrived in a timely manner. I had the meatloaf which was just fine for a location of this type. Not world class by any means but it filled the bill

The pot stickers were bland and if I had to guess we're frozen. The Mongolian Beef was so bad I sent it back. It has been years since I sent a meal back. The beef was dry, overcooked and tough. My wife's salad was so bad she took one bite and that was it. We left but paid for our drinks and potstickers. Oh, the gal who led us to our table was extremely rude too. Overall, a terrible experience.

Wow, what a disappointment. How do you mess up a BLT? Put wilted, nasty lettuce on it with tiny slices of Roma tomatoes (did they run out of regular sized tomatoes) and sour dough toasted bread with no discernable mayonaise. Bacon was okay but needs to be crispier in a BLT. Forgot to bring the iced tea and got nasty when I brought it up. Unhappy wait staff all around and over priced nasty food. Stay away. I did have a good dinner at Uno Mas so I recommend going there instead.

Worst restaurant ever. Service is slow and servers are very rude. I actually got offended by how the server said to my request. It took forever to make an order and get food. It took more than 20 minutes to get the kids milk. There were enough servers but I don’t know what they are doing there.

Large portions, good food. Service was a bit slow when we came in but it was due to the current conference taking place.

Food and service was horrible, steak was old and stale. Took forever to get our food, all the employees looked mad from the host to the servers. They looked like they were all fighting with each other and were forced to work there. Get better food and better employees. Unfortunate this is one of the few restaurants in the casino.

We had breakfast here and I ordered one egg, over easy, and a piece or toast. And surprise, surprise! That’s what I got. I did get 2 pieces of toast but it was way closer than I usually get when I order one egg. Hubby had the Denver omelet and said it was very good. The prices were steep but the service was great and the only place we were in Reno where the employees smiled. A very pleasant experience
Service is good, the burger I got was dry and flavorless. Sweet potato fries were bomb though.

The older gentleman host is exxellent. Joked about my Stanford attire vs Notre Dame. Love it that he can be on a human level. Sorry didn't catch your name. Medium to heavy build, about 40-50 light skin man.

Emily was part of our serving team and she was excellent and very attentive , we never had to ask for refills and they were very kind
Stopped in for a bite before a concert. They were out of the item I was planning to order… ended up putting together a few other items that seemed ok, as we didn’t have time to go to another restaurant. Deep fried cauliflower was drowning in cooking oil. Fries tasted old. Salad was mediocre. Both sets of napkins smelled of mildew or who knows, time to replace them. Our server had zero personality and couldn’t be bothered to do anything but the minimum of his job. The only saving grace was the older guy who brought us drinks and checked in on us a few times.

Step into the Grand Café inside the GSR Casino, and you might just forget you’re in a casino—because this place feels more like a warm embrace from your favorite aunt who just happens to be a five-star chef. And at the heart of it all is Saima, the kind of server who instantly makes you feel at home, like you’ve been dining there for years (even if it’s your first time). Her attention to detail is sharper than a blackjack dealer’s skills, and her charm? Let’s just say, if hospitality were a poker hand, she’d have a royal flush every time. Then there’s Jim, the manager, a true hidden gem of the hospitality world. GSR really struck gold with this guy—he’s the kind of leader who keeps the place running smoother than a well-oiled slot machine. He ensures every guest is treated like a VIP, even if all you ordered was a cup of coffee and a side of toast. Now, let’s talk about the food, because, wow. \t•\tKung Pao Chicken – Forget the Chinese restaurant next door; this dish knocks out the competition like a heavyweight champ. The perfect blend of spice, crunch, and sauciness makes it a must-try. \t•\tEggs Two Ways – Scrambled with spinach, onions, and jalapeños, paired with crispy bacon and hash browns? This is the kind of breakfast that makes getting out of bed in Reno totally worth it. It’s like a wake-up call, but the good kind—the one you actually want to answer. \t•\tClub Sandwich – It is what it is, and what it is… is solid, reliable, and delicious. The sandwich itself meets the gold standard, but add the fries, and now you’re in “why haven’t I been eating this my whole life?” territory. Whether you’re nursing a slot machine defeat, celebrating a big win, or just looking for a great meal in a place that feels like home, The Grand Café delivers every time. And with Saima and Jim leading the charge, you’ll walk away full, happy, and already planning your next visit.
