Feature the awesome local band Ichthyosaur. Great venue and they make their own beer. Great service. They even offered non-alcoholic beverages for people like me who want to enjoy the music. Corn hole there too.

Food...poor. Brews are nice but not great. If you come for the food it's a 1*, if you come for the brews it's a 4*. However, our waitress was a 5*. So the average of 1, 4 and 5 is 3.3* so I gotta go with a 3* review because I just can't round up being a math n**** There ya go, ain't math fun? I really wish I could remember the name of our waitress, if I do I'll edit this review because she REALLY wanted me to mention her; she had an unusual name. Seriously though, I won't be coming back as there are better places that have good brew and great food. But if I was just going for a drink then ok. Well, probably not. I mean, who can go for a drink without eating at least SOMETHING right? But I notice that the other 5 most recent reviews don't mention food at all yet they all give it 5*. Hmm. Maybe you should ignore my review as I must be out of touch. It is after all named "Great Basin Brewing Company Taps & Tanks" and not "Great Basin Brewing Company Taps & Tanks and Great Food". Geez, why did I bother?

Came here for a private event. This place is very nice and they have quite the selection. Their options for hosting an event are great. There was plenty of space for everyone and plenty of parking. There was room for catering, a dj, and bartender at the event. It's a wonderful location for hosting a reception or party! The only downside is there was only one restroom, so majority of the time there was a line, and no changing tables that I saw.

This is the best craft Brewer in all of Reno. The delightful smells of the beer as you enter the facility are intoxicating. It is only improved upon by the flavors of each Brew. I've never had a bad beverage at any of the Great Basin Brewery locations. You would do well to stop in and enjoy a malted beverage at your earliest convenience.

Though this is mostly a production facility with an adjoining taproom, every time I've been there has been for a special event with live music and food. Most recently, a benefit for Nevada Legal Services (providers of pro bono legal assistance for folks who need it but can't afford it), with a decent cover band, and simple buffet spread of sandwiches and finger foods. Of note, a really good beer cheese served with crusts of Great Basin's own bread baked with the same grains used for the brews. Great opportunity to do a little charitable giving while enjoying oneself and touring the place. It's not just a business, it's a community resource. Great job, guys!
