I was invited to have dinner with a large group, about 80 people. The staff we very much on their game from being seated to drinks all the way through dinner. I cannot commend the staff enough. The Filet out out of this world and you did not need a knife to cut it.

The food was awesome, but the price is not for me

Ohhh how I wish I could go here again. I'm so going to miss this place. The best steaks in Reno. And the elegant dining room. No one did it like Harrahs.

I decided to update my review - before they close, maybe. I stick with my original description:"Do you ever think about what casinos were like back in the 60's when the Rat Pack ruled Nevada and Sammy and friends performed in Reno? Well, come downstairs below the casino floor to the amazingly preserved wonder that is Harrah's Steak house. Down the stairs, around the corner and through a heavy oak door, you go through a time warp to an era of deep velvet, heavy wood and lead glass walls, linen table cloths, china and crystal, and a formally dressed Maitre'd to take you to your horseshoe booth. The only thing missing is the smoke from the ubiquitous cigarettes that were the mark of sophistication in that era. Not only does the decor reflect a bygone era, so does the menu. It is the standard old school casino steakhouse menu - all classics with the emphasis on steak."In reviewing my prior post, the food has not changed one bit. From start to finish - the bites of salmon mousse atop French bread toast, the champagne and sorbet palate cleanser, the warm towels, and the steaming chocolates - everything has remained the same. The Filets are always perfectly cooked to order, the fries are delicious, the veggies - uninspiring. The service is impeccable. So about them closing - it seems pretty much up in the air. They are planning to stay open until August. After that, it is up to the new owners. It sounds like the plans for the property are not finalized. Whatever happens, I would recommend you give the last remaining classic steakhouse in Reno a try before it walks off into the sunset (cue swelling music).

We were disappointed with the service. My husband's bread plate was taken away before his entree was served without asking him. Also his cocktail was whisked away before he was finished, again without being asked. I ordered the seafood salad and there was only about 2 tablespoons of crab and shrimp. I have had this before as an entree, because it had so much crab and shrimp. My husband ordered his filet medium-rare and it was barely pink. They served our intermezzo and immediately our entree was served. We felt rushed and the service was not up to Harrah's usual standard.

As usual, the best restaurant in Reno. As I understand it, The Steakhouse at Harrah's will be closing sometime late summer as the property has been sold. If I may suggest to the chefs, wait staff and investors, purchase the furnishings and, especially the recipes, the general 'feel' of the place and replicate it elsewhere in the Reno area. Could be a foodie gold mine. In any case, it will be missed by most everyone that has partaken of their cuisine and service. That being said, we will be back several times before that sad closing date arrives

cant beat it. We have been coming here for years and hope that it stays open for years to come. It has always been a great experience with great steaks.

Every worker was very pleasant, helpful, and fun. Our captain kept a very close eye on our table. The food was excellent, the flaming shows for the coffee and deserts were amazing. You must get to Harrah's for an exceptional experience.

Harrah's Steakhouse is one of the best restaurants in Reno, and has been for many, many years. Unfortunately, it will be closing in a few months, so if you haven't had the opportunity to experience dinner at the Steakhouse, you really should plan a dinner there in the near future. You won't be disappointed.

We dine at Harrah's Steakhouse often. This evening was my birthday. Tony was our waiter. Always professional with a great personality, the service was outstanding as usual. I had the prime rib, wife had the filet and our friends had seafood. All food was outstanding. Cocktails were prepared professionally as usual. New owners may shut down the steakhouse, so dine there while you can
The early bird special was excellent. Atmosphere was special and different from anywhere else in town. Staff make recommendations and always there when needed for a drink refill or bread bowl refill.

Harrah's Steak House is my all time favorite restaurant. Love all the employees and the wonderful food. Sure hope the can survive the closure of Harrah's and the new project coming in.

As always, the food was fantastic. My wife had the Rib Eye Steak which was cooked to perfection. I had the Prime Rib which was also cooked to perfection. We had the scallop potatoes and creamed spinach. Our server Tony was great. We love coming hear, hopefully they keep it open with the changes that are coming.
