Love that’s it’s all vegetarian friendly. Owner was nice and service was great. We need to come back and try the chicken sandwich and salad.

The food is amazing and the atmosphere is lovely. We had the cheese god chimichanga and an asada burrito and were blown away with both. Will definitely be back when we return to Reno.

While Reno doesn't have many vegan restaurants, I recommend you skip this one and give The Fix your business instead. The food is expensive, quite bland for Mexican, and the service is rude and cold. There's a woman who works there who constantly watches what you're doing, gives attitude, and doesn't want to prepare certain menu items. After being told what was unavailable from the menu, we ordered something else. She then asked if we could order something else. The restaurant is usually empty, maybe one other table at most. I brought a boba tea inside that was almost empty, she told me I couldn't bring it inside. I understand not allowing full or unopened beverages inside, but the attitude about it was unnecessary. Skip this one, the food isn't worth it and the service leaves much to be desired.

Visiting here from out of town and my wife's vegetarian so we found this on yelp and decided to give her a try. Because of the prices she was a little bit skeptical so we went with the spicy chicken with fries and the order of Al Pastor Taco She loved both of them and the service was amazing. Wish this was a local joint for us here in Sacramento, but every time we go to Reno this is a sure visit for both of us. I wish people understand the cost of running a vegetarian restaurant. I've seen pop-up vegetarian shops charge more let alone for a brick and mortar. You should feel lucky that you have a place like this to go to as a vegan/vegetarian. 3/29/24

Had a very enjoyable dinner -- sopes with "chicken" (soy) and pineapple. Really delicious. My husband is vegan, and I'm along for the ride sometimes, but this was actually very good!

The al pastor tacos and tostada bowl were both delicious, and the staff was so friendly! Can’t wait to come back.

food was great, however when we ordered on Tuesday March 12 @3pm the lady who took our order was extremely rude.we asked what was in the chimichanga, and she replied.."can't you just look at the menu".when we asked for no rice in our burritos she replied" ok but i can't be doing this next time"she also rudely replied that she can't give us a side of rice and would not give us extra salsa. (We were willing to pay extra. she still denied us)when we came into the restaurant there were no customers. and she still made it seem like she was in a big hurry and didn't have time to accommodate our basic needs.considering the two chimichangas were 45 dollars and they were very slow at the time, it is kind of crazy to get so much attitude.it's clear her only job was to take our order. and was very rude for seemingly no reason at all. I really hope to never get this kind of experience again, if we return.

Excellent vegan food with tons of options. The pastor chimichanga was amazing, and unexpectedly the vegan mac and cheese might be the best vegan Mac I’ve ever had. Highly

This was our first visit to House of Mexica and we are so happy to find this fantastic vegan Mexican restaurant! I really wanted to try the tamales, but unfortunately they were sold out. (A testament to how good they are, I'm sure!). Anyway, we both ordered the same item, Cheese God Chimichanga. I had the Nohpalli (cactus) filling and my fiancé had the Asada. Both were delicious. We also had the Horchata which was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. We definitely will return next time we are in the area!

This was our first visit to House of Mexica and glad we went. The food was fantastic! We both had the Cheese God Chimichanga. I had the nohpalli (cactus) filling and my fiancé had the asada. Both were delicious. I also had horchata. It had perfectly balanced flavors and was not too sweet which I was very happy to find. We will surely return for another meal when we are in the area again.
