Super cute and wonderful location! All the workers that come in seem like family. Coffee is great and price is reasonable for the quality of coffee. They have a very wide variety of drinks and treats!! Definitely coming back, even without a DMV issue!

Thank goodness for a place like Joe's inside of the DMV! We have all had to deal with long wait times, and it is refreshing to have a place where we can get drinks and/or snacks. We both ordered different iced mochas and when asked if we could get lite ice, we were told that she puts a hot espresso shot in the cup, which will melt the ice anyway. We know this, but we still wanted lite ice :/ Other than that, the drinks had decent flavor, I have had better and worse, which means that we will come back next time we need a pick-me-up while at DMV.

Stumbled upon at random - The breakfast burritos were excellent & the customer service was amazing. She was able to give us many recommendations for things to do in Reno. The mild sriracha sauce cream gives the burritos a great kick!

The food is really quite expensive for what it is, they are out of some ingredients almost daily and their selection of premade salads, sandwiches and baked items are usually not available. I have a hard time paying so much for this, when a similar priced salad at any of the downtown restaurants would be comparable and far far better in quality. For having the privilege of being at both DMV and City Hall, they need to step up or made way for something better.

The customer service at Joe's Java is absolutely the worst I have ever had in my life paying four dollars and some change for a lousy cuppa coffee and then to have the person behind the counter what to charge me a dollar to use her pan this place should not even exist rude and nasty Blonde lady behind the counter she better pray she never runs across my place of business
I love Joe's coffee and Italian soda, but not at this location. Smoothies were fine but burnt coffee and the service were awful. No other choice while waiting for 3+ hours at DMV.

Walking in was greeted with a big hello. The lady inside was very friendly. Their are a lot of choices to snack on or drink. They have an ATM if you need cash. The little place is very clean. Ordered up a Vanilla Frappe and it was very quickly at the other end of the counter. Yummy and full of flavor. This is a must stop while your here in the DMV.

I decided to give this place a try while waiting for the DMV. I'm not a big coffee person so I figured I would try the "coffee cake" they had. I tried a lemon and a gingerbread. Two bad choices. I don't expect coffee cake to be moist like a regular dessert but this was ridiculous. It would seem that either the cake has been sitting there for a few days or it wasn't wrapped quickly because it was so dry I contemplated getting to wash it down so i didn't choke. The flavor of the lemon was there but not very pronounced. On the other hand, the gingerbread was so bad, I returned it after one bite. After talking to a couple of the staff, I found out that "just" the coffee is decent. Maybe I caught them on an "off" day but I won't be back.

This little shop is located inside the DMV. It's a huge step up from the vending machines they used to have. They serve coffee, organic lunch meals from personal size quiche to veggie wraps. They are affiliated with hi-point cafe in north reno. The food is made fresh daily and the employees that work there were friendly and answered all my questions.
