4 of us went, 3 of us thought our meals were meh. Chicken fried steak was below average, potatoes were under cooked, pastrami was bland, and even the stop in the bakery underwhelmed. This used to be a great spot for lunch and pastries but it feels like they are just coasting. Service was slow and forgetful

I was running late but thankfully let me order last minute for 24 Macarons for my Fiancees birthday! Wonderful service and understanding!

Josef's serves some of the best European pastries in Reno! I love coming here for my Christmas Stollen and assorted European cookie tray every year. The food from the restaurant is also fantastic! German and European eats are scarce in this town, but thankfully, Josef's has the BEST viennese goulash and wiener schnitzel! I grew up in the heavily immigrated German town in Cincinnati, Ohio (Over the Rhine) where European culture food is far more abundant than it is Reno. Josef's has become my little German food saving grace out here!

A solid bakery but doesn't stand apart. The service has been pretty rude every time I go. I always feel like my order is an inconvenience. I use the check out bakery side.

Very rude counter staff. If the people at the cash register act like that I'd never ever go back for a meal.

I called on 11/25/2025 to ask about their pies and was told to come in at 8am they would have them and because I work out at tesla had to send my husband who was told the pies had to be preordered so he wasn’t able to buy any! Why was I not told that part yesterday? Need better customer service because you now have ruined our thanksgiving and you have lost customers for good!

Terrible food. Ordered Huevos rancheros and there was no tortillas and no beans. Food is way overpriced for how bad it taste. $7 for a side of bacon that taste awful. What a waste of money.

We are here for breakfast this morning. The menu is quite large and varied. The service was very quick and friendly. The food was delivered very quickly and both of us really enjoyed our food. I will be back;

Literally my go to fave in Reno! The original is definitely the best, it's a vibe! And the servers are phenomenal!

Now don't get me wrong, the food here is fantastic and so is the coffee. The issue I'm having is I've been coming here for over a year and in the last month it's been nothing but bad experiences. I've waited 15 mins for my bill, I've waited 10 mins to be served and I've waited 15-20 mins for a coffee. I think I'll be going elsewhere and I'm sad because the food is good.

Very cozy and the staff is always friendly, patient, and welcoming. The food is delicious and well worth the price. I love it here. Usually it's calm enough to seat yourself which is just how I like it.
