I am always on the lookout for places that have Hawaii style plate lunch and found this one by chance. Looked really cool in the pics and decided to try them out. They are located on the southside of Reno Tahoe International Airport and tucked away in a small strip mall. The colorful sign above will let you know your in the right place. There are picnic style benches outside and the inside has a few small tables and chairs. The decor of the interior is like an industrial look and if you really want to see this type of look, use their restroom. The menu is not large, but has a good selection. We chose the BBQ chicken plate lunch with a pork street taco on the side. Both came out really fast. The chicken was tender with good flavor, definitely not salty. The pork taco was also very flavorful and messy! This place has limited hours of 10-6pm so you won't be able to eat there anytime you want but it is good.

Many of you may remember this exclusively as a food truck but their home base is located off Longley and you will miss it if you're not looking for it. When you find this gem you walk in and are greeted with not only the rich aroma filling the air but nothing less than a food truck inside, as well as quaint little "hut" where you place order. You're greeted with a smile and exchange pleasantries. If you have any questions they are always helpful. This evening for me and my mini we got the Hawaiian BBQ Beef, Hawaiian BBQ chicken & some spam rice for later. The wait is not long at all no matter the time of day you go and the food is steaming hot when it's delivered to you. You have the options of sides such as rice, Mac salad, coleslaw or side salad. WARNING. The side salad comes with a dressing that is completely addicting. Good thing you can purchase it by the bottle! The chicken has a rich teriyaki flavor. It is juicy yet falls apart in your mouth. The Mac salad compliments it well and is not overpowered by mayo. The beef is juicy as well with its own flavor profile. For the price it is most certainly worth it. If you can't eat it all in one sitting the flavors blossom overnight and the chicken is perfect to add to a salad the next day.

From out of town doing some work down the block for a week, looking for a last minute late lunch and found this jem! The Spam tacos are delicious! I got my tacos and was about to ask for some salsa or something, but they didn't need anything else than the way they were served! Definitely coming back multiple times this week!

This spot has great food with something for everyone (several vegetarian options) and great customer service. The ambiance is unique resembling a food truck in Hawaii. Great spot

I really don't understand the high reviews of this Hawaiian restaurant. The food is mediocre at best. Prices are great, but only if you don't mind the inferior cuts of meat. I ordered 3 items to go: the spam fried rice, beef udon noodles, and the BBQ chicken plate. The amount of BBQ chicken was great, but it's not like a tenderloin that's nicely grilled and sliced. The chicken was dry and burnt, and the pieces were chopped and not easily digestible - all uneven, hodgepodge pieces of chicken. The macaroni salad was just okay. The beef udon had a mayonnaise drizzle with ginger over the top of the noodles, which made it taste weird.Lastly, the spam fried rice was just a disappointment. The spam was brown, the rice was brown - the entire dish was brown. There was no color at all with very few bits of scrambled eggs. The rice needs to be fried on high heat with scrambled eggs and spam not swimming in soy sauce. Add some green onions and cilantro on top, while more vegetables need to be added while stir frying - onions, carrots, and peas. Bring some color to this dish, for heaven's sake! This was not a tasty fried rice - plentiful, but just not good, too bad!You honestly get a lot of food for the price, but you don't get the BANG for your buck on quality and taste, sorry!If you want to try quality Hawaiian food, try Loco Ono restaurant.

I always stop here for spam musubi, this last time I noticed the spam to rice ratio was off, you get a ton of rice but very little spam. Very disappointing, I will probably not be back and stop recommending this place.

Came with some co workers for our lunch break, and wanted to try this place out. I ordered the spam fried rice and also their steak tacos. Both were very good and flavorful. One thing about this place is portions are big here, and the price is phenomenal for the quality and the amount you get here. Service was very top notch too and very polite. These place give you that food truck feel but restaurant version, since they did start out as a food truck. Will continue to go and tell everyone about this place if they haven't already. Cause this place does get busy during lunch.
