I really don’t get the hype of this place. I came because of the reviews but the service was horrible to begin with. No one ever came to check on us, we had to wave them down to get refill.

We were a party of 6 and they charged us gratuity of $30 on top of that. Beware. Way over priced, service sucks, and the food is mid.

I actually really liked the food and atmosphere of this place. My friend and I both liked everything that we ate. However, the service was just honestly terrible. Genuinely down to every single thing we had to ask for or just go up and get ourselves because it took so long. Definitely don’t go here if you have somewhere to be after!

A wide selection of sushi items for AYCE. They have specialty items that are so delicious but do limit it to one per person. There's even desert included at the end.

Had been hearing a lot of great things about here, decided to try it. Food was good, but nothing crazy. Wait times were a lot tbh. We spent two hours here for two people, waiting for our food. I personally wouldn’t come again but it was decent food!

The sushi was genuinely good and absolutely delicious, with each bite tasting fresh and well balanced. Kuma’s menu is fully loaded with a wide variety of rolls and flavor combinations, so there’s something for everyone, whether you prefer classic, simple sushi or bold, creative options. The different flavors come together really well, making it easy to find something you’re going to enjoy, and even easier to want to come back and try more.

Ok sushi hand roll spot, a lot of rice in the rolls, so it’s easy to be full
but the wait is too long, both for a table and for food
Wouldn’t recommend

Best sushi in Reno, all else pales in comparison.

Unless you want cooked rolls and crystal shrimp and consider that your jam.

Services was okay, servers not so friendly or attentive. Sushi was good for the price, too much rice.

I used to go to sushi Pier for my Ayce but Kuma will now be my new go-to! They have so many non-rice offerings and the rice on their rolls+nigiris are not too much either. Their kamas however is not like the regular hamachi kama and doesn't come with ponzu sauce but you can ask for it. Next time I'll remember to ask to skip green onions and onions for carpaccio next time. The mochi ice cream is pretty good but strawberry is better than the vanilla. I ask for green tea ice cream on my banana tempura but can't really taste the matcha. FYI green tea is not free and kids price is now lowered to 10 instead of 12. You can also call ahead to have your name put on waitlist

The food was great but the service was awful. Our server was not attentive at all. He took our beverages and never heard back from him. We were never asked if we wanted to re order appetizers until I requested another sheet to a different server because ours seem to avoid our table. Once food was served the server never approached us if food was good or if we needed anything. We finished our sushi’s and waited for 20 for someone to offer dessert and nope… no one approached us until I saw the lady at the front counter ( who sits the people) I explained how long we were waiting for and she she we were the ones who needed to call our servers to request or order anything because they were too busy! But that “ It’s was okay” that I didn’t know I had to do that and she took our dessert order.( Did she really just blame me for the bad service they gave me as first timers in their restaurant?) we finished our dessert and none came to drop our check so we decided to go to the front counter to pay. The same lady who took our dessert took my card, I paid and there was absolutely no work of her, no apologies not even a have a good night NOTHING. What an awful awkward way to treat their costumers.

It's always solid. Nothing special. But never scary. I don't understand why it's always so busy, but good for them. Table service can be slow when it's busy. Bar service is far faster.
