Wonderful dining experience! Great food, great service. It's 4 stars because dessert, the Tiramisu, was very bland, no espresso or rum flavor. Overall worth dining there and will go again!
La Familia has been one of the top restaurants in Reno for a while now. The menu is always fresh and inventive! John (owner) has put together a great wine list that complements the food well. We always enjoy the personal service the wait staff offers.
Another beautiful experience, this visit was as we expected. The thoughtfulness to diner satisfaction is astonishing. Gina noted our preference for the wine room, Ben was wonderful, as always, Michael (a trainee, I believe) was professional yet solicitous. Service was impeccable, everyone made us feel so welcomed. The atmosphere remains upscale without being stuffy. The table shared the calamari--lightly-fried perfection enhanced by red & white dipping sauces (5/5). We all enjoyed the Caesar salad elevated with Parmesan crisps and breadcrumbs seasoned with just the right assertiveness to complement the salad (5/5). Hubs & I had the veal marsala made with a dry marsala that perfectly elevated the tender, delicate morsels (5/5). The veal piccata was also a hit, (4.5/5), daughter only downgraded it after tasting the marsala. Ben brought a complementary dessert when he asked whether we were celebrating an occasion (it was a week after our anniversary and a week before my birthday). The tiramisu was beyond words, I don't eat sweets but will make this an exception. Looking forward to returning again and again!
This is a favorite for pre Pioneer Center dining. The service is warm and efficient, the food is consistently excellent, and their timing for pre-show dining is perfect. We never feel rushed and always get to the show on time.
It was our first time at La Famiglia. We had a absolutely wonderful meal. Our server was also very helpful explaining all of the nightly specials. We will definitely be back.
Great meal and atmosphere. Service was impressive..great place to dine for a special occasion..highly recommended
Very good food and great customer service. However, the cost of the food was a bit more than I would've paid for.
Staff went above and beyond to make our evening special. Remarkable food -can't wait to go back for round 2!
Took a long time to get bread and romano cheese for our table after asking 3 times. Took a while to get all our drinks, never asked or checked if we needed anything. Service could be a lot better and food was small in portions. We were visiting from out of town.
The food was outstanding! However the noise level was off the charts demeaning the dining experience. Disappointing.

They knew we had a show to get to. They got us in and out on time without compromising the quality of food or service!
We originally had booked two tables, one for four and another for five more. We needed to expand to 11 total people and they were able to accommodate us at one table. they were in contact with us to make sure we'd be arriving in time because this was the last seating of the evening. Everything worked out exceptionally well.
We had a party of 9 and had a GREAT time. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and our waiter was very responsive. Thank you!
Great staff and atmosphere. Pedestrian seasoning and undercooked fish . Bland and uninspired.
