We had a very nice dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. The service was excellent—staff were friendly and very attentive throughout the evening. The food was delicious and served in generous portions. While the atmosphere was a bit louder than I expected for what I thought would be a more romantic setting, it was still an enjoyable experience overall. We appreciated the great service and tasty food, and would definitely consider coming back again.

Excellent as it is always. From appetizers to dessert everything was delicious. One of Reno's best!

Very enjoyable lobster escargot and scallops with risotto. Not quite Italy, but La Famiglia is always good for a nice evening out.

Great location away from Casinos. Service was attentive, loved the food, my cioppino was cooked perfect.

Service was friendly and efficient! Drinks, fresh burrata, crostini, tomato and pesto appetizer, salmon special, spinach & chicken canneloni and pistachio ice cream were all delicious.

Our waitress was helpful, colorful, and entertaining. a first-rate effort. We will be back soon and we hope we can sit in her section again.

The drinks were the best part of our dining experience. The caesar salad wasn't a caesar, poor quality. The entree was lacking flavor and quality. I honestly could have made better at home, and I'm not a chef. I heard so many good reviews but honestly didn't see the draw to this place.

Atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. Just love the location. Bus boy was very attentive. Came through time and time again for all the failures of our waitress. She was training and she only had like 2 or 3 tables. I was the 3 table. The only reason she received a tip was because l didn't want to stiff the bus boy. THE FOOD: VERY BLAND. Alfredo sauce was like out of a jar. No flavor!!! I was told everything was made on premises. Didn't taste anything that was unique. Alfredo should be something you have to do well. Not here. My son was very disappointed. I had the Salmon with fetticche noodles. Neither had any flavor. Salmon tasted like it wasn't seasoned at all. Daughter ordered Lasagna. She said it was good. She took home the leftovers and still hasn't asked to eat them. That tells me how much she really liked it. I was hoping it was comparable to Lavicchia's when it was on Skyline. Not even close. I really wished l had gone to Mario's Portofino especially when l paid the bill. Even the appetizer (Fried Ravolis) was bland. I had heard so many good things about La Famiglia's and was always longing to try it. I think it has changed hands 3 different times in the last several years. It'll probably change hands again very soon I'm sure. Only reason it didn't get 2 stars was because l could eat the food. It wasn't where l couldn't eat it. The flavor just wasn't memorable like most restaurants I've gone to. If they offered me a free meal I'd try it again. So l guess l won't be back. It's an ltalian restaurant. The Alfredo Sauce should be something that should be a home run every time!!!

Didn't live up to the hype. The food was good but it was not exceptional. The service was not great. It was not that busy with several servers and bussers, and they were not attentive. The place is very cute and I liked the decor.

Food is just ok. Maybe I had unrealistic expectations but we were out to celebrate so I had hoped it would be more memorable.

The service was awkward. Our server was trying to be friendly but also casually revealed the death of her husband to us which was off-putting. No complaints about the timeliness or anything.

Also, everything was sticky. I have no idea how carpet could be that consistently sticky. My shoes were sticking to everything for a considerable time after dinner.

Overall, the experience was negative and I would ratebit lower but other diners seemed to like it so I want to give the place the benefit of the doubt.

Cook doesnt know how to make real Italian marunara sauce -- so sour it tasted like canned tomatoe paste out of can with water added & no garlic, oregano, no sugar -- i took it jome and had to add oregano & about almost a half cup of granulated sugar to make the spaghetti, meatballs edible!! Yuk!! Never again!! Try Marios Portofino if you enjoy home made Italian dishes -- they know how to cook!

Good service. Good seafood. Good wine. Great coffee. Parking is a little nuisance, it being downtown. I'll be back.
