This is our go-to spot on Friday nights. Good food & drinks. The staff is normally REALLY good to deal with, although one of the waiters can make you feel like he's running off to a fire when he rushes you. Hahaha! Overall, great place.
The hostess was surperb but the beef in the fajitas was a chewy flank steak. The price was right at $17 and the total $34 ($17x2) with only water to drink morphed into $43.31 before tip. The open ceiling with the rafters exposed and painted black with a REALLY LARGE duct pipe curving around the center-attic of the small restaurant made for a unique environment. (9/20/2025 visit)
Visited Los Compadres while in Reno and we were glad we did. The food reminded me of the same style of Mexican food I grew up eating in Phoenix. Their tacos come stuffed with shreaded beef then deep fried. The tamales are large with pork inside. Cheese enchiladas are great too. The cheese queso dip was a bit different from whats typicality found at restaurants, its very stringy, but still recommended.
