Happened upon Los Portillos by accident. Full Belly Deli next door was closed and I decided to come in. I found my favorite Mexican food in Reno. Amazing food, great service. Just love this place.

The food was flavorful and the service was great. They have a small dining room on one side and a bar on the other. I think they probably do a lot of takeout. We dined in and ordered Huevos Rancheros and the Chicken Enchilada plate. Many places use bland or unseasoned chicken with an enchilada sauce; here the chicken was slightly red/pink from all the seasoning, which tasted different from the sauce on top of the enchiladas. It was a delicious combination. They have several choices for sauce, I chose the red and it was again, delicious, and very slightly sweet from the tomatoes. I will definitely go here again, for dine in or for takeout. I highly recommend this place. This is a small restaurant in a strip mall, so this is not a fine dining experience, but it is exceptionally tasty food.

I absolutely love this place hands down! The owner is great and she is always attentive! The micheladas here are the best I've ever had and they add shrimp to them as well so it's almost a meal to be honest. The cook in the back is great and the food is always on point. The location is great and they are always welcoming..definitely will return and definitely recommend!
