When Safari Club International held their conventions in Reno, Louie's was a must-go place for dinner. The quality and quantity of the food was superb and the atmosphere was wonderful. What fun! Picon punch was a great starter at the bar. Nice patrons and servers. We split a very tender ribeye steak and still couldn't eat it all. We love Basque meals and drove 550 miles from SW Utah. It's that good!
My children treated me to my 67th birthday dinner at one of my All Time Favorite Restaurants! I love this food Mecca so much! The potato kale soup was perfection. The salad was fresh and fun. Love the table wine they serve every table. The oxtails are, without doubt, the very best I have ever tasted! But for me, the unquestionable star of the night was their wine and mushroom sweetbreads; simply glorious! They are the closest I have ever tasted to how my Grandmother made them...
