Best food in Reno. Hearty earthy Italian delights. Ambience is pleasant music was a little loud. Service was OK, could be more polished.

We visited on a Friday night and, despite the noise and crowds, enjoyed a fantastic meal. Emma was a great server and Curtis crafted some wonderful specialty drinks.
An incredible and memorable dinner - though this was my first time, I immediately felt the love. It’s a place with a simple yet elegant vibe, perfect food, and all-around excellent times.

Fabulous dinner on their beautiful back patio. Hamachi crudo was one of the best things I’ve eaten in Reno. The fazzoletti was a perfect balance between cozy and elegant. I found two iterations of broccoli rabe on their specials menu and I couldn’t have been more delighted. With their house red on tap for $9 a glass, I was a happy girl. No notes!!

Five stars for the food! I am Italian and very picky about food and quality. I can say loudly that at Madein I had the best food I ever had not only in Reno but in the USA! The chef is very friendly, I felt like to be with a friend in an Italian restaurant! I loved the giant mushrooms ravioli, the mushrooms Flatbread, and super special was the tracciatella with tomatoes and bread, real Italian taste!

Tucked into the charming Mayberry Landing, Madein is a chic and fun gem! The atmosphere is the perfect balance of stylish and welcoming. I had the giant goat’s milk ricotta ravioli—absolutely delicious and beautifully plated. My husband ordered the bucatini, which was so good! The service staff were warm, attentive, and our visit a great experience.

What an amazing meal. Moving from New Jersey it has been a struggle to find NYC quality food here in Reno and Shawn the chef/owner delivers on all fronts!. Salad and pastas are incredible.

I had the pleasure of dining at Madein on a special evening with my date, and to my delight, it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From start to finish, the service was exceptional, warm and attentive.
What really stood out, however, was the food. You could taste the passion and dedication in every bite. The chef, with a Sicilian background, brings the essence of Mediterranean flavors to life in every dish. One standout was the shaved octopus with fennel salad, which transported me straight to the shores of the Mediterranean. It was an extraordinary dish—perfectly balanced and absolutely unforgettable.
If you’re in Reno and looking for a memorable dining experience, Madein is a must-visit. The combination of incredible food, welcoming service, and a true sense of craftsmanship make this a place a new favorite, I’ll definitely be returning.

I’m an advanced sommelier, responsible for several resorts throughout the country.
I recently had the opportunity of being in Reno. A friend of mine, knowing I was visiting Reno, recommended dining at Maiden. To my surprise, when I walked in, I was greeted by a young lady I introduced to wine, Rory. I was thrilled to see her and she immediately sat me, and friend, at a very special table.
The owner and chef, Shawn, sent out a few appetizers and I was immediately blown away. Let me explain, I host elite wine pairing dinners and I am not easily wow’d!
Everything we ordered was fantastic. This is one of the best restaurants I’ve dined at in a couple of years. It is easily the best restaurant in Reno and one of the best restaurants in a very unassuming, casual atmosphere. This is cuisine with a Sicilian accent. Looking forward to returning over and over.

The location and interior are really cute, although the AC was out so it was a little hot when we went for dinner. I was super excited to try this place as I’ve heard good things but I left not feeling super impressed. The meatballs were dry, the sauce didn’t really taste any different from something I could buy at a store, and the portions are really pricey for what they are. $26 for basic gnocchi and sauce without any protein. Additionally, both myself and my two friends are suffering from painful stomachaches after eating here. Will not be returning, after $125 on two entrees, an appetizer, two cocktails, and an insane stomachache it isnt worth it.

I really wanted to like this place but had a very underwhelming experience unfortunately. Restaurant was very hot and loud from the combination of music and closely spaced tables, which was not a relaxing or comfortable atmosphere to eat in. Service was slow despite being one of the earliest reservations- waited 40 minutes between appetizer and entree with no check ins, which seems excessive for pasta. Overall I thought the food was quite good though a mixed bag - the focaccia was served very hot and fresh and my ravioli was delicious, but the meatballs tasted like a lump of unseasoned ground beef, totally bland and mushy. Not sure we will back.

Love the concept for this space and the showcasing of local products. The meatball sandwich was huge and very tasty- but very hard to find an item that was non-dairy. The reason for giving this place four stars is the drink selection. While adventurous, nothing on the cocktails menu sounded good to me. I asked if one of the mocktail could be turned into one with alcohol— it was very tasty as one, but small. However when I got the bill they charged me $20 for that drink— charging for both the mocktail and alcohol separately- instead of making it the price of a similar cocktail. $20 for a very small cocktail is a little unreasonable.

As a frequent guest at Madein, I can confidently say that it never disappoints! Last night was yet another incredible experience that reminded me why we keep coming back.
We kicked off our evening with some fantastic cocktails that were as creative as they were delicious—The Frey Ranch Hand crafted to perfection! The mixologists here truly know how to elevate the dining experience.
For our entrees, I indulged in the squid ink pasta (extra spicy), while my wife went for the tagliatelle. Both dishes were out of this world! The squid ink pasta was rich and flavorful, while the tagliatelle was fresh and perfectly al dente, served with a sauce that was simply divine. It’s clear that the chefs pour their heart into every plate.
The service was, as always, exceptional. The staff is friendly and attentive without smothering us, making us feel right at home.
Madein consistently delivers an unforgettable dining experience, and we can’t wait to return for our next visit! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch meal! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
