Jack and his crew are terrific and make a delicious meal! They have catered our company event several times. Everyone looks forward to their BBQ. The mac and cheese with bacon is a crowd favorite too!

IF I COULD GIVE THRM NO STARS I WOULD. They have "catered" and I use this term loosely, the Night in the Country event for a while. We have been attending for several years now and each year has gotten worse. This year you COULD NOT even tear through the tri tip like a neanderthal, the pulled pork was like rubber, and the chicken was still bleeding on the inside. When brought to the attention of the "cook" he said that it was the smoke ring. Nope sorry. CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING MOST OF US WHO HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF EATING SICK.

Really good Tri tip wrap loaded with meat, thanks Kevin!

Just ok. Corn bread a bit dry. Potential to be a good place with a little work.

I initially emailed MWF on 6/7/15 to set up catering for my wedding. It took one day for them to respond. The second email on 6/8 took two days for them to respond. A third email exchange happened over the next few days on 6/12. I also was ready to finalize the quote and pay a deposit on 6/14. I asked Jack (the owner) for the quote on that day so I could pay.The follow up email took 15 days (and three emails from me) to Jack to finally respond with what was basically a form letter. It said "It is our busy season. Please be assured that the quote will be completed soon." I had not heard from him on 7/23/15! I sent off another email and did not hear back until 8/3 with a quote.I emailed back on 8/7/15 with a follow up to make some corrections and heard back on 8/9. I sent a check for the deposit to Jack on 8/13 so he could pencil us into his calendar. Interestingly enough, the check cashed within a couple of days (quite speedy compared with his email response time).I emailed again with a question on 8/22. I did not hear from him until 11/11 despite numerous times attempting to contact him. I emailed Jack again on 2/2/16 to set up an in person meeting to finalize and pay him the other $1000 we owed him. He never emailed back. I tried calling Jack's "personal number" twice and never got through to him (a fact he later tried to deny but I have the call logs, Jack). My fiancée called him and finally got through to him. When she pointed out that we were upset with his consistent pattern of not communicating, Jack became defensive, told her that he did not like her tone, reminded her that he has been in the food industry for 18 years (I guess to prove his professionalism?), and then proceeded to say that our catering job is not important to him and that "if it makes us feel better, I won't even be thinking about this order until the week of the event." After taking forever to decide (he kept changing his mind on time/dates to meet) we set a date to sit down with him. The whole thing had my fiancée upset as the verbal exchange was very mean-spirited on his part. This upsetting exchange had me very angry when I found out about it and as a business owner in the food industry I feel it is not a very smart move to yell at your customer when they point out what is clearly a communication problem on their part. I expected an apology to my fiancée at the in-person meeting if this contract was to continue. I also needed Jack to acknowledge that our business was meaningful to him. When we went to meet with him we were greeted by a very friendly man named Reggie. He is one of the house managers and apologized profusely for Jack not being able to be there in person. Reggie mentioned that Jack had run out to handle something with his child but left him in charge to "deal with us." Regardless of my feeling like we had been purposefully handed off to someone far more sociable than Jack to "deal with us" and our problem, his story about the sick child falls apart a bit because as we were sitting down to speak with Reggie another team member handed him a phone and said "it's Jack" very quietly to him. Reggie stepped away for a minute to talk to Jack and came back to help us out. As apologetic as Reggie was, I was done with this business at this point. We thanked Reggie for his time and told him that Jack needed to call us within the next 24 hours if he hoped to keep our business. Jack called my fiancée the next day and she told him that it was for the best that we parted ways and had our deposit refunded. Jack agreed and made a sarcastic comment about it being "her day and all" and that she had "the right to choose who was there." We went to pick up the check and he had one of his servers deliver it to us (we could hear him talking in the back of the kitchen though. Jack never once had the decency to apologize to my fiancée for his behavior, lack of communication or even meet us in person. After this debacle no amount of good food will bring us or anyon

Very big place. Several huge TVs. Video games. Pool. Full bar. No video poker. About a dozen beers on tap. I had the ribs which were great.

We were greeted pleasantly at the door. We asked if they were still serving breakfast as it was approaching 1:00 PM. They asked the cook they said yes. Then the yelling started. A man who appeared to be the owner was escorting a customer out the door. Apparently he vehemently didn't like the ribs. Once out the door the dissatisfied customer said something and the owner told him to basically go ahead and try it. On the other hand the service and breakfast was 5 star. Bacon was meaty and great tasting the sausage were of the same quantity. Eventually the owner came over and offered an apology. We also each got a ticket for a free beer and 1/2 pice appetizer. So that took this rating from a 1 star to a 3. Will I visit again? Yes. As I use my real name on these ratings it will be interesting with what happens at Men Wielding Fire when I visit again.

Nice little BBQ joint in Reno. Good place for lunch, but being from Texas I have to only give them 3 stars. I have tried quite a few things on the menu, but usually stick with the BBQ chicken wrap. The deep fried cornbread is worth trying.they have got a great BBQ sauce and their fries and Ranch is good.

Was hoping to try local BBQ place sadly this place was very disappointing. Went on a Saturday night and to walked into a empty place. Still had to walk about half way to the bar before a host came up to ask where we would like to sit. Sat and ordered water and ended up ordering the chicken wings and combination plate. Terrible decision. The Tri tip had more fat then meat on the sliver we got. The ribs and pulled pork were great but the rest of the combinationwas horrible. Lastly we ended up being served by 2 different people on a slow night like that it should have only taken one person and even with the two servers it took forever to get our check. Would not recommend at all going to try something else next time.
