I just went to EL MEXCAL and all I want to say it be careful, we were a party of 5 my kids had ate already so they didn’t eat anything. We were added a 25% tip for my party of 5. The menu says 20% plus I asked why when my kids didn’t eat anything and I was told they charge by the space you occupy in the restaurant. I loved this restaurant until today 0 starts for EL MEXCAL. I was giving the money back because I started questioning the server

The avenue tacos are very full of meat. Very filling. I got two and was enough food. Guacamole was very tasty also. Parking can be tricky. Wait staff was very attentive.

The tacos and hosts were great. Female younger bartender is a tad rude. The chips and salsa aren’t good but the tacos are always great and at a convenient location unfortunately parking is in the back but that’s downtown for ya.

All I can say is WOW!! First time ever going to this restaurant, a friend and I stopped for a quick bite, Annalee was our server and what a great personality and her skills as a waitress were too notch, and we ordered a shrimp enchilada (mine) and a beef enchilada (his) the food was excellent my shrimp enchilada was the 2nd best food id ever tasted in my life I was VERY satisfied with everything about this visit was immaculate they go above and beyond for you here. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mexcal to anyone who loves Mexican food! AND it was very inexpensive $22 for 2 people.

Do not come here thinking you will have the full Mexican food experience.... no free chips and salsa and when I ordered salsa it was big enough for a toddler... mushrooms were out of a can DISGUSTING... Margaritas not in a margarita glass and had 3 gulps tops...No S/P on the avocado so it had 0 taste ... they are making it do to location...
