I had made a reservation for Mother's Day at Mimi's Cafe in Reno, but when we arrived, we were told there would still be a 45-minute wait due to the restaurant being overwhelmed by OpenTable reservations. What's the point of even taking reservations if they can't manage the volume? To make matters worse, there was no manager on hand to help the hostess, and if they knew this would be an issue from the start, they should have contacted guests in advance to inform them of the delay. If you plan to book through OpenTable, I highly recommend calling ahead to confirm your reservation and ensure they're able to handle it. We decided to leave and find another place nearby. We ended up at a new spot we hadn't tried before, and it was a much better experience—quieter and more enjoyable than the crowded, noisy environment at Mimi's Cafe.

The reason for one star is that we didn't dine here today. We had reservations that was confirmed, however when we arrived the restaurant was full of people. We were informed that there was a 45 minute wait. Really ?? When I make reservations I expect to be seated on arrival.

I made reservations for Mother's Day a month in advance. I showed up a few minutes early and it was packed. When I checked in, the hostess told me it didn't matter I made reservations and that it would be an hour then added me to the end of the walk-in list. I asked her why they even offer reservations if they're not going to honor them and she said it was a busy day... yes, I know, THAT IS WHY I MADE A RESERVATION. My mom had to work and I only had a babysitter for so long. We had to go to fast food, so honestly, Mimi's ruined Mother's Day for us.

Prefixed Easter Menu had a good selection of menu choices including soup or salad and dessert for $35 pp. Everything was well prepared and tasted great! Byron, our server, was extremely attentive and friendly and did a really great job!!

This was by far the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. We had a reservation for a farewell lunch for a friend. A few people got their food before 3 of us were told our choice wasn't available, no problem, we made a different choice. My plate didn't arrive until everyone else had finished their meal. It was fish and chips, nothing fancy. We had to ask for napkins and no cutlery was given When we pointed this out to the waitress she said many of us wouldn't need it and then chose what to give to each person. One person would get just a fork, no knife etc. None of us will ever go there again

Wednesday 19 February 2025. Been visiting Reno on and off for the better part of 55 years. Today, after dealing with some medical issues, the wife and I decided to give a different restaurant a try and stopped at Mimi's. Had one of the finest salads I can remember - a Cobb salad. Nicely cut in bite size pieces with a wonderful mixture of ingredients. This restaurant even furnished a SPOON which seems to be a rarity these days. I definitely must add that the waitress, a very special young lady, did a marvelous job of waiting on our table. We will absolutely return to Mimi's on our next trip down to Reno!

The staff at Mimi's Cafe in reno was excellent. Amir the general manager was accommodating for our party on Jan.17th as we had just lost my sister and held our reception there. Byron was our waiter and provided extra care for our family and was sensitive to our party during our difficult time and he, the assistant manager, and another waitress tended to all our needs making our gathering special. Thank you for the great food, affordable pricing, and the service you provided not just a food service establishment, but for the kindness and compassion shown towards my family.

Not sure if they " lower the quality " if it's not being survived at the restaurant.
The eggs were over cooked and was stuck together like over cooked microwave. The cheese on top of it was looking like it was microwave.
The bacon was over cooked.
A large drink is a small
