I did not have time to bake my boyfriend an apple pie so I saw the reviews about Mix Bakeshop and purchased a salted caramel apple pie. The crust was classic and flaky, the apples were not mushy but tender and the salted caramel was a very nice addition. The customer service was spot on and the bakers all had smiles. I think when you have an open area it implies that you are friendly and clean and a business I will return to.

I ordered some cupcakes for birthday celebrations. I placed the order on Tuesday for pickup on Saturday. (Mix is closed on Sundays, the day we were celebrating). Ordering over the phone was a breeze. Once I had asked the 3 birthday 'kids' what they wanted, ordering a dozen was no issue. My phone order was quick and I appreciated that the guy on the phone did not repeat my card number as I was saying it. Saturday came for pickup and I walked in. Another person was ahead of me but I was helped quickly. I was a little surprised the gal did not open the box to confirm in front of me but I just checked for accuracy in the car. Sunday came and so did cupcake time! We had ordered Monkey Business, Red Velvet, Lemon, and the Salted Caramel. Monkey Business is sort of like a banana bread (less dense) and did not taste like fake banana. It was raved over! The red velvet and lemon are staples and are always perfection. I had the Salted Caramel. I don't usually like this flavor but I didn't want to be selfish with my choice #notmybirthday. That being said, I felt it tasted too caramely and was too sweet. Again, I'm not the target person for this. But if that's your jam, you'll love this cupcake. Overall, great experience. I will definitely continue coming back. 10/10 recommend

Ordered a dozen for the UNR kids bday celebration. On line for stock ordering was simple and delivery went off without a hitch. Kid reports cupcakes were "too die for".

I loved the mini pies, we tried 3 different flavors (lemon, chocolate coconut, and jumbleberry) they were delicious. We enjoyed them with a hot chocolate and an oatmeal cookie sandwich. The only thing I disliked about this place is that they have a “dine-in” option but no restroom for a paying customer. After eating my mini pie and drinking my cocoa I asked to use the restroom and I was denied. It makes no sense to offer a customer the option to dine in and not allow them to use the restroom when they are done consuming a good purchased in the same place.

I have been buying from here for 4 years now. Every year I order a sugar cookie decorating kit and on Christmas eve we decorate cookies for Santa. The sugar cookies are fantastic. We have also ordered a chocolate pie and were pleased with that as well. Maybe one day I can perfect my sugar cookie, but until then, I have Mix Bakeshop!

Stopped by for coffee and cookies, we got the oatmeal cookie sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookies were great, my oatmeal sandwich was not so sweet which I liked very much. The coffee was freshly brewed for us and the service was excellent and quick. I really loved the interior design of the place, it's a cute 50s inspired parlor. I enjoyed the ambience while drinking my coffee. I can see myself coming back often!

I ordered the cherry pie and was expecting it to be a lot better then it was. The pie crust tasted very salty. It was almost as if every bite I took of the pie crust had granules of salt. I've had there cupcakes here before and they're amazing but this pie was a no for me and other family members that had a slice as well.

We will NEVER be back. I see the negative reviews of Mix about the unfriendliness of the staff. Well, I believe this is due to the atmosphere created by the owner. My sweet daughter, who frequently goes in there for a treat after school while waiting for me after school, had the absolute worst experience yesterday. Her phone had died and she uses my credit card on Apple Pay, so she sat down and plugged her phone in. The owner came over, unplugged her phone, shoved her phone into her chest and said she does not pay for her (my daughters) electricity. My daughter tried to explain and the owner just gave her a snarky smile. When I picked my daughter up a few minutes later she was inconsolably crying. This woman humiliated her in front of other customers and made her an inch tall. My daughter has never been talked to in this manner, she is a straight A student who is in all honors classes as well as an athlete. This was undeserving and I wish people like her would stop and think before addressing young adults in a manner that makes them feel insignificant and start treating them with respect and dignity. This is probably how she treats her employees which is why there's such a negative vibe in that place.Shame on you!

Terrible customer service. After ordering a pie for Thanksgiving and having trouble with their website ordering, and it glitched out on me twice, the third time I thought my order went through. I find out the next day after I didn’t receive a email for the confirmation. (I know i should have checked and made sure right away) But life gets busy and I didn’t think about it. I called then very next day and was told basically, too bad, and they would not make the ONE pie I ordered and they keep my phone number if someone don’t pickup their order. Hoping they understand, I explained it’s for my veteran father who’s terminally ill and may be his last Thanksgiving. Nope didn’t care. It was one pie and the lack of understanding or caring what happened, was none! I got a rude tone and not even a sorry. I’ll never give them my business again. I’d understand if it was multiple pies but over ONE, and to tell me they give me one, days before Thanksgiving, only if someone didn’t pick up their order. I have no words and won’t put my exact thoughts of their business or the customer service and manager, because it’s not appropriate to put on here! So ZERO stars if I could! I’m sure there’s better bakery’s in the area that give good customer service and treat their customers better.

The cupcakes and cookies are most excellent. Great frosting and a moist, light cake. We visited around Thanksgiving and heard the owner talking about the hundreds of preorders people had placed. We can see why.

Let me start by saying once a year I come here for some Birthday cupcakes for myself. Last year I came in and everything looks great, but the staff wasn't very friendly. I thought maybe they were having a bad day . This year I went back and again , not friendly . I'm not sure what's going on but I won't be back .
