Really nice and cozy place in Downtown Reno for gastropub food and a beer.

I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with fries and couldn't have been pleased with a better mid afternooon lunch option.

My waitress, Megan, was really sweet and was quick in getting me seated, served, and topped up for the 30 minutes I was there.

Be sure to leave an awesome review in one of their books when they give you your check!

Great little pub style restaurant. Nice vibe. The bison burger was perfectly cooked and flavored. They didn't hide the flavor by trying to do too much. The coleslaw was light and fresh with just the right amount of sweetness. The fish and chips were beautifully done. The batter wasn't heavy and the fish stood up to being dipped into the tarter sauce which was creamy and not too sweet. The chips (fries) had a wonderful crispy outer shell, not greasy, and flavorful. We started with the naan and hummus plate. The naan was to die for. Great, friendly service. And the bring your bill in a cute book that you can write a note in.

The service was great, the staff was friendly and welcoming. However, three of the members in our party had overcooked meat. We asked for medium rare and all got medium well. Then I got pot pie to go for my husband and the bottom of the crust was burned. Too bad, rating would have been 5 star otherwise.

Granite Street Eatery provided a truly delightful and memorable dining experience. Nestled in a charming part of town, this local gem offers a welcoming ambiance that effortlessly balances casual comfort with thoughtful service. One of the standout features for me was their dog-friendly patio—an absolute bonus for pet lovers. I brought both my mother and my beloved rescue dog, Daisy, and we were all made to feel right at home.

The staff was exceptionally courteous and professional, displaying genuine warmth and attentiveness throughout our visit. It’s not often you find service that feels both efficient and personal, but Granite Street Eatery manages to strike that rare balance.

We began our meal with the shishito pepper appetizer, which I cannot recommend highly enough. Perfectly blistered and seasoned, the peppers had just the right amount of heat and depth of flavor to whet the appetite. It was a simple dish executed with care and finesse—evidence of a kitchen that takes pride in both quality and presentation.

Equally impressive were the menu prices, which were remarkably reasonable given the quality of the ingredients and the overall dining experience. It’s refreshing to discover a place where value and flavor coexist so harmoniously.

Granite Street Eatery has certainly earned a spot on my list of favorite local spots, and I look forward to returning many times in the future—hopefully with Daisy in tow. Whether you're looking for a relaxed lunch, a charming evening out, or a pet-friendly place to enjoy a meal with family, this eatery delivers on every front.

We eat here somewhat infrequently but always enjoy it. Tonight was extra special. We dropped in before the theatre. Amazing meal, I had the barramundi. El-Marie had the curry salmon. Both excellent. The barramundi was slightly crispy without being overly cooked. The salmon had a slight glaze that was also wonderful. Great meal.

It's not often that I give a restaurant a bad review, but this one deserves it. My wife and I were in Reno celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary and had just checked into our hotel. We were looking for something simple, due to the fact that we were going out for a fancy dinner the next evening. We decided to try the Old Granite Street Eatery. I ordered the chicken pot pie and my wife ordered the fish and chips. After a short wait, our meals arrived. My chicken pot pie looked more like a chicken soup with almost no vegetables and a plain tortilla as a base. In addition, there was no top as on a traditional pot pie. I asked the waitress about this and was told that it was their take on the dish. My wife's fish and chips was over cooked and the breading was thick and greasy. I suggested that they could have used a tempura based batter for a much better dish. Overall, it was very disappointing.

We went to dinner at Old Granite Street Eatery this past Saturday evening with another couple. It wasn't very busy, only 2 other tables were occupied. We ordered a couple of beers while looking over the menu. It took nearly 10 minutes for the beers to arrive. Strange for a place that wasn't very busy. A few more minutes went by, and we ordered dinner. 2 people of my party ordered the Barramundi fish, one blackened and one pan seared. I ordered the 8 ounce sirloin medium, and the other person ordered the chicken naan sandwich. Salads were small and unimpressive. The fish was overcooked to the point of having crispy edges. The sirloin was also overcooked to the point of being well done and crispy. The mashed potatoes served with the steak were so cold that the cheese couldn't melt to any degree. The only item that seemed ok was the sandwich. The booth we were seated in was like sitting in a church pew; narrow, hard, upright. And no padding. I shied away from their hambugers. I was agast that their hamburgers were described as two 3 ounce patties. All I could think of was getting two sliders on a single bun for the price of a half pound burger at most other restaurants. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
