Surprisingly good food for a small bar. Fish and chips was a bit pricey, but well battered and cook. Breading was not too think, and really crispy.

I finally had the opportunity to try out the Old Southwest Social House, I've been wanting to come for a while as it's close to my house. My wife and I came in on Wednesday night and it was quiet, not too busy which is nice and plenty of space. We sat at the bar, which includes machines for gaming, although I rarely ever use these but nice for those that gamble.They have a decent beer selection on tap, I ended up with one of my favorites, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. We weren't super hungry, so we ordered potato skins, loaded fries, and the Beef Chimichurri Tacos. The Tacos were great, right amount of flavor and toppings, I would order again for sure! The loaded fries are very cheesy and filling. That's not a negative, they were really good but something I wouldn't order as often. The potato skins were good as well, classic potato skin, can't go wrong!Overall satisfied with my meal and experience, would go back again, especially for a nice casual meal on a weekday night.I will also mention they have a Happy Hour from 2:30 - 5:30 which is 20%off food and adult beverages.

Went here tonight, I believe it’s under new management. We had a party of 4, everyone’s food was excellent. The service was great too. Very good experience, overall. Great beer selection, too.

Excellent food and service!We ate there for lunch this week and enjoyed an excellent meal with fantastic service. The food was fresh, more than plentiful and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere was quite friendly and we are looking forward to returning sometime soon. Well done!

stopped in for breakfast, had the California Avenue Eggs Benedict, eggs were poachedperfectly and sat atop thinly sliced turkey and ample bacon. a homemade Hollandaise sauce fresh pesto and a slice of Avacado as a crowning glory. Wow the taste was spectacular and the Hollandaise is in a class by itself. Highly suggest giving this a try, especially before it Is discovered by everyone else in NW Reno.Pat Sponsler

When here for the first time recently. They do trivia on Monday nights. Had the crispy brussels sprouts, they were very good. The other food going looked good as well, look forward to try ! Good crowd, enough people to be energetic, but not so much that the noise level is too high, or that we were falling all over each other. Easy parking . Bartender Juan was friendly. Will be back !
