At one time, I was a regular at Panera Bread. Since before the pandemic, I travelled a lot. Stops included Hayward, Richmond, Fairfield, Roseville, and Auburn. Many stop overs at Panera Bread. Moving to Reno, there was no Panera, as you could not count the UNR campus location. They said they were opening near Safeway at Del Monte. False Alarm. They were opening at Legends in Sparks. Still Waiting. They did open across the street from Whole Foods. Tonight, we had dinner there. First off, the place was clean. The rest rooms were clean. The manager was excellent at hospitality and making us feel welcome. Maybe I was visiting from outer space, but the manager appeared real young. We told him it was a pleasure to see such a youngster in the management track. He claimed that his staff called him "grandpa." The food was a fraction of the Olive Garden across the street, we were served quickly, and enjoyed our evening. He even passed out cookies just before closing time, an alternative to tossing them away as day old product. We will go back. Thanks for the service, "Grandpa."

I had come for the infamous charged lemonade. Not too bad. I can definitely see why not many people would realize there is caffeine inside, it's pretty refreshing. For the food however, everyone in my party agrees, everyone's sandwich seemed lacking, between very small portions on very thick bread, to just seeming like it should have another ingredient or two. Especially for the prices. Speaking of. I picked up a crazily priced 10$ grilled cheese, that was just basically bread and some cheese. No spice, no wow factor. Just heavily priced carbs. Also the sandwich came out smashed, so the presentation wasn't great either sadly. I got a soup and bread bowl for later, but I have noticed that the bread bowls are tiny. All in all, so far I'd say maybe worth a single try, but not something I'd come back for, for every break or lunch.

Asked for the loaf of bread i ordered to be sliced thickly and warmed. They gave me a cold, hard stale loaf of bread that was thinly sliced. I asked 3 different girls who were working there to warm the bread and they said no and ignored me. Poor service and unhelpful workers. I am very unsatisfied with my visit.

I was excited to finally try Panera bread and now i don't know if even want to. We walked in to a girl at the register picking her arms. She looked us in the eye didn't say anything and continued her vigorous arm picking. I said " we've never been here before". She said "ok" and continued with the picking so my mom tried to order and when the girl at the register handed her the drink she did it with her fingers inside the cup. yes fingers INSIDE THE CUP. The same fingers she has continuously been picking scraping and squeezing at he arms with. So we just walked out. I'm a very easy going person and don't at all expect perfect customer service but the absolutely baffled me. Like is there no manager there to tell her that is absolutely not ok? Her being the first person people see, my mind turns of the gross things that might go on in the back without anyone caring. Anyways is was a gross experience and I'm glad we went inside instead of the going though the drive thru and not have any idea of skin scraping fingers in our drinks

Sandwich's were inedible and would have returned for a refund but it was food I was taking my dad in the hospital so I couldn't return. They were cold and slapped together by what looked like a 3 year old. I don't usually write reviews but I was really disappointed and out $35 which needs to be told. Seriously bad food!!!!

Very expensive spend $55 for 2 sandwiches, 2 strawberry lemonade, 1 mac n cheese, and 1 turkey chili. I had the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt it was good, but some parts were salty just didn’t seem like they salted it eventually. My friend had the Green Goddess Caprese Melt it was soaked with sauce it made the baguette soft, but the baguette was baked too long anyways it was hard as a rock but taste wise it was good. Strawberry lemonade tasted good. Mac and cheese was VERY salty. Turkey chili was good. The 2 baguettes came with the soup it was hard as a rock.

Don’t waste your time & money on hospital food. Second time going to this Panera bread I should have known not to go again but thought maybe my experience the first time was bad because they had just opened… nope waiting in the drive through for an entire hour with just two cars ahead of us. We ordered 2 meals and a side of macaroni, some how comes out to $50 ?? Of course when we got home a sandwich is missing in place of a mini baguette? Just a horrible experience and the food is gross.

Went to the South Virginia, Reno, NV location for the first time. Went thru the drive in. The drive-in attendant took my card pmt, did not offer me a receipt (had to ask for it). She walked over to a circle of others (which they could have been in a meeting) & did not come back to me for over 5 minutes!!I waited in my car for 8 minutes! I have never waited that long, ever. She took my bag and for about a full minute just stood over to my right where I couldn't see her. When she gave me my order, she paused as if she expected me to complainIt was weird!

A little pricey but good portions. Mostly healthy choices. Breads are delicious. Don't be afraid to customize - menu can be intimidating. Hard to decide? Check the online menu before arrival.

Gotta be the worst 30 bucks I spent on dinner ever. Got the soup bread bowl and was about 5-7 spoonfuls of soup. As well as the half sammich and salad for 10 bucks each. Got about 8 bites of salad and a half sammich which was standard for half sammich. Panera bread is all I got no soup , salad and little steak on the sammich. More like Panera pass for me from now on.

Panera you have to do better here. We have been waiting for years for you to open a location here and this has been nothing but a disaster since the day you opened in Reno. The customer service is terrible, And explain to me how in the world do you make your own bread and sell it and are currently out of every single type of bread possible in your location here in Reno that doesn't even seem possible. How do you run a business like this? Furthermore, stop making people have to order lunch at 10:30 in the morning. Some people still like to enjoy breakfast up until maybe 1030 or 1045 but to refuse to serve breakfast to someone when they're in your drive-through at 10:34 in the morning is absurd.

Okay. This place has been open for a while. I have been waiting 20 minutes for my order. When I came in there was no one in line and there are still people waiting for food before me. I thought they would have this figured out by now.
