Cool German dive bar with great German food. Nice vibes and quality wood bar, flooring and seats.

Stopped by for lunch and came back later for dinner, drinks, and comedy. Ordered the bratwurst plate and a Haufbrau Dunkel—both were solid and tasty. Service was great at lunch, though none of the staff spoke German, so it wasn’t very “authentically German,” but it still had a good vibe and cozy atmosphere. For anyone concerned about service, I can see how busy event nights might make things hectic—they kindly warned us when there was an event that orders would be at the bar, which helps set expectations. Also, if you get the pretzel, try it with all three sauces—it really makes a difference. Overall, a great spot for Americanized Bavarian food and drinks. Would definitely return!

Not sure what happened here....but after showing us the bill, which was close to $40, I gave the waitress $60 cash...we were waiting for more than 15 minutes for her to come back with our receipt and change...she was not coming, so we said, forget it, and we left with her keeping the 50% tip....we had Schnitzel and Spatzle and some other dish, I was with someone from Austria, and she said it does not come close to authentic European food taste wise...anyway, for the way they treated us we'll be not coming back to this place, too bad, I really wanted to support them...well, they lost valuable customers.

Great schnitzel and brats

I ordered schnitzel based on other reviews. I wasn't overly impressed. It was pretty decent sized but it was dry. The gravy was quite salty

The service is awful. They didn’t even put in all the orders! They never checked back not even once to see if we needed anything. The food tasted like it was microwaved. The service was seriously horrible.

Great food as always

Pretty incredible. Good service. Great food! My Germanic family member was in pure bliss , eating foods that only Grandma used to make for them.

Excellent customer service and awesome food. I had the German plate. Pork Schnitzel was tender and correctly made in the Munich traditional way. The Red cabbage was spiced and seasoned perfectly and not soggy. Finally the Spaetzle noodles were traditional with a hint of nutmeg and finished with butter. Thomas the owner was very friendly and courteous. Natalia the bar tender was kind and thoughtful. Excellent experience and I will return.

Went in at noon and there was no lunch time crowd only a couple of people drinking. Ordered a pretzel with beer cheese dip. Pretzel was cold, tasteless and dip was cold.
Ordered the sausage platter with three types of sausage on a bed of kraut. Sausages not well heated lukewarm. Tator tots with cheese were over salted. All in all a disappointing experience considering our love of German food. Man behind bar next to kitchen handling a dog who was with a woman sitting at end of bar then used a bar towel to wipe off his bald sweaty head. Hygienic standards lacking.

I've been here for over 30min there is no waitstaff to actually service the tables. People are forced to stand in line to order drinks or food.

The drinks (Beer are flat and should not be served) 3 different ones, no head on the beer or carbonation. As if the beer is months old.

Stammtisch Gäste are entitled and rude.

The fact that they had a Porsche Club Meet going on and didn't have the staff to accommodate the guest, not the club or additional customers. Highly disappointed in the fact that the owner sets his staff up to fail. By not assuring adequate staffing or making sure he is there to assist and lead his team to success.

The staff also doesn't know about what the meats are or where they come from.

1 cook, not able to keep up with orders. When orders come up, no one is serving them to the tables.

I wouldn't be surprised if this place didn't shut down in the next 3-6 months because of the bad service and flat beer alone.

Being a German who grew up in Bavaria, I would never send anyone here to drink or eat.

To the owner. Your article in Eat Reno is a false hope. Du solltest dich schämen.

Also, the QR Code doesn't work at the tables because it gave me the option to buy the domain. Also, it's not a good sign for business.

Not worth the visit. Don't even bother coming here, it's terrible. My friends from Germany were so disappointed when I took them here and said it's genuinely not good.

With that said, there are far better places to try in Reno, Yelp has many excellent lists and Elite member reviews to choose from! :-)
