The restaurant was eerily empty. Very pretty inside with plenty of tables. There were only our table and a single diner. We were greeted right away and seated. Very odd the waiter set down a metal serving water pitcher for us. Quite heavy and ackward. We ordered the crab artichoke dip. It came with plain crackers and 4 bread round. Not flavorful at all. My husband ordered chicken with risotto. The risotto was crunchy and lukewarm at best. I ordered the avocado salad and had to hunt for the avocado. I believe we are one and done. I see no redemable reason to go back.
I made a reservation for 4 and called the restaurant to add 2 more people to the reservation. Someone from restaurant called back and confirmed the reservation was now for 6. This was a birthday celebration for my boyfriend. When we arrived, after driving 45 minutes, we found a handwritten note on the door stating the restaurant was closed for Labor Day weekend. A phone call would have been nice. Nothing. Hope to check out Rattlesnake another time.
It was the weirdest experience. We made reservations for a Sat at 7pm. Walked in and there was one employee manning the hostess stand, restaurant, and bar. There were 2 customers at the bar and a table of 7 in the back. That was IT. The restaurant is big inside and out, but it was a ghost town, the other customers looked at us as if we walked into a closed restaurant. The kitchen is open and you couldn't see any chefs. We sat down with our paper menu that is very limited and waited about 5 minutes for water while the one employee chatted behind the bar. No music, no ambiance, so we left.
George’s customer service was excellent. Excited to see what changes come in the future. Lots of potential for this place with their new vision.

Awful, awful, awful. Can't think of one good thing to say except our server, George, had a nice personality. They should have stayed closed!

There were hardly any cars in the parking lot (should have been our first clue on a Friday night). Aaron our server/bartender was amazing! We got an appetizer with ritz crackers and club crackers. We got the surf and turn (both of us) it wasn’t cooked properly, the taste was absolutely horrible, the potatoe tower was a joke. The BB Crush was foul. Will NEVER go again.

This place is great....Rattlesnake was fun and our meals on point. There was four of us and everything was very good. We had appetizers , salad and entrees. I had the scallops with risotto (I loved) Hubby had the surf and turf which he said he loved. His steak was cooked perfect medium rare. The cocktails were done well. Support local restaurants not many in Reno. We love Rattlesnake Bistro WE WILL BE BACK SOON!!
THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! We had 7:00 dinner reservations on 4/6/24 for 5 people to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. I was already nervous about going here because I’ve heard their service is awful.** We pulled up to the restaurant around 6:40 and noticed there were zero cars in the parking lot and a note on the front door. The note stated that all their staff had called in sick and therefore they couldn’t open. SO CALL YOUR CUSTOMERS AHEAD OF TIME TO LET THEM KNOW YOU WILL NOT BE HONORING THEIR RESERVATION! We briefly panicked because it was almost 7pm on a Saturday night. Luckily, LA FAMIGLIA on S. Virginia St. had an opening for us and we had one of the best dinners in Reno there! I highly recommend checking out LA FAMIGLIA and skip this poor excuse for a restaurant. Do not count on them even being open for you to try them out!**Aside from the many reviews, a coworker of mine was there for about 10 minutes and after being ignored, they walked up to the bar where they were further ignored so they left after about 20 minutes.

We arrived (party of 5) 15 minutes early to the restaurant. When we arrived there were no cars in the parking lot. A sign on the front door said "due to lack of staff we had to close for the night. It was my birthday and had no where else to go at 6:45 pm on a Saturday night. Since this restaurant is only open 3 nights a week and 5 hours a night, they appear not to be able to keep a full time staff at all times. Not to call their reservation list and notify them was the final straw!!! I would warn anyone who wants to go to this restaurant "BEWARE".
Overall fun Saturday experience. Valentines day appears to have been a bit of a hard evening for them and was not our experince now or in the past. We have been many times and alway fun. I am not too apt in trying new things so I had familar entree the scallops very good and my husband was very happy with his choices. Very reasonable and great food.

Don’t waste your money and time. I came for Valentine’s Day and Was expecting to have a good time but was sadly disappointed, the service was extremely slow, my drink had a bug in it, which took over 15 minutes to be remade and it took over an hour for our food to come out.Tried to ask for a manager and was told there wasn’t one…Cannot say I was impressed. Was very disappointed in the food quality as well. Was bland and my steak was over cooked. They had a limited Valentine’s Day menu, which was suppose to make it easy on the chefs. Couldn’t order a pizza or pasta or a hamburger. Mind you there were only two cooks for a packed restaurant. Only one table was eating at a time. Extremely understaffed and terrible service. The owners were extremely unprepared for the evening. Made for a terrible experience

Wife and I came for Valentines we had a 6:30 reservation and Rattlenskake was busy the whole evening . The appetizers were amazing !! The best cheese crostini and crab cakes not alot of filler . Delicious! Wanted more but dinner was coming . Drinks were great . Dinner I had a fillet and scallop special my wife had the Salmon we had our entrees within 25 mins of arriving pretty good to us ! We sticky toffee pudding and profiteroles for dessert delicious! We will be back . Thank you for a local restaurant non casino and delicious food and very beautiful atmosphere'n
The kitchen was very slow and we ended up taking our food to go. Wait staff was very kind when they checked on us, but that wasn't often. Our reservation was at 7:15 and we didn't end up gettin your food until almost 9:30. Drinks were amazing and the appetizers were delicious. The restaurant is gorgeous and lends to a comfortable setting. Hoping this was just an off night, but we were very disappointed.
My wife and I were celebrating Valentine's Day and decided to try The Rattlesnake Bistro. The service was poor at best. We waited over 45 minutes for our appetizer. Our main course arrived about a half hour later. Both of our orders were disappointing, my wife's was undercooked and mine was tasteless. The 2 tables next to us were as frustrated as we were. I had high hopes for the Bistro but won't go back. Disappointing and underwhelming.
This restaurant has so much potential but has changed hands recently, to its detriment. We had reservations for Valentine's Day and our experience was poor. There was no coverage at reception, no apparent manager on duty and many of the staff members appeared to be new, including our server. The dominant impression was of servers milling around behind the bar. There were long waits for acknowledgment, drinks and food. After about an hour, we were given someone else's order and then received our entrees followed by our salads several minutes later. We were seated where we could see reception and much of the restaurant and our experience was far from unique. We saw at least one couple leave without ever being greeted, another settle up after only one glass of wine and others experience the same slow/uneven service that we did. We settled and left quickly after finishing our entrees. As much as I want to like this place I'm not sure we will be back.
