I had the Battered Garlic Prawns, Jacketed Yam with Cinnamon Butter, and Sautéed Mushrooms. Everything was lovely, however, the Yam was the BOMB for me! It it almost as if it was deep fried! Server was cute and fun!

We had a good experience here once but after last night we probably won't be back. It wasn't real busy and we were seated in an empty section. After about 10ish minutes, someone came over with an order, looked confused, and we told him it wasn't ours. Apparently the table of people that was in our section had left. 5-10 minutes later, we still had no waiter, nobody checking in, not even water, so we flagged someone down who said they'd be right back. When he came back, he seemed very flustered and took our order. 10 minutes later, still no waters. There were servers running all over, so they were clearly well staffed. At that point we left, went back to our hotel, and got quick friendly service at a restaurant there.

Food was great, service could have been better.

the smothered chicken was something a pre schooler could’ve made. it tasted like microwaved cheese on top of poorly cooked chicken. it originally came with a hair in the food. terrible experience and service

Teri Gooch

It was mediocre for the price

We had great service from our waiter named Luis. He was attentive and kind, asked us if we needed anything in a timely manner and checked in on us throughout out our meal and was professional through out. Ruby Rivers is lucky to have a worker like Luis. The food was superb and the price's are so great, that's why we are going to continue making Ruby Rivers a must go to stop every time we visit Reno

Very nice, I took my wife for her birthday. It has a cowboy vibe, 90's country music. Very comfortable, large portions and friendly staff

A bit chaotic, and sometimes you have to remind them your there...but the food is good and reasonably priced.

We haven’t been back here for quite awhile; trying out different establishments in Reno.
Food still great and service good ! Sourdough to start.
Today we got the 10oz Garlic butter Sirloin with asparagus and broccoli as sides (Yum) and 16oz Ribeye. I requested more garlic butter to put on my veggies; which to me made it pop.
We had enough room for dessert so we tried Ruby’s cookie (which the cookie tasted undercooked / mushy. I prefer a firmer cookie). Overall still good steakhouse !

Our waiter was Geordan he absolutely didn’t care. I ordered a French onion soup with my steak and the rest of my party had their salads my soup never came they tried bringing out several salads, and I let him know I ordered a soup he said, yeah I know they are working on it. About 15 minutes pass and our food is done, and I still have no soup. However, I did not receive my dinner either. He said they were still working on it. In the meantime, they brought out a different cut of steak and I let them know that was not what I ordered they took it back and about 20 minutes after everyone received their food, my food came out. Shame on the manager who was on. Not once did he come by and check on us, although he walked past our table a number of times just side eyeing and avoiding our table.

Ordered the 12 ounce ribeye medium rare, it came out Very well done. Which is understandable because it was less than a half inch thick, there is no way to cook such a thin steak medium rare. Our server Geordan never returned to check how our meal was or anything else and seemed to be avoiding our table intentionally due to some other issues of missing food etc. I worked in the service industry for many years and I rarely tip somebody zero because I know how it sometimes works with the kitchen or other things out of your control as the server. However it is very clear our server as well as the manager are in the wrong occupation and may benefit by exploring other industries. The manager walked past our table numerous times and never once asked how things were and when I did finally tell Geordan of the overcooked steak when he came to bring our bill he informed me because I had ate half of it it would not be comped. I did not ask for it to be comped and I have no problem paying for a meal that I ordered. However do not offer to comp a meal even when it is not requested and then not follow through with the offer. So yes on a $206 check I paid zero tip, again not because I cannot afford it but because you don't deserve it.
