We are big fans of Ruth Chris, Reno. Birthdays and our wedding anniversary, we have steak dinners at this location. This time, we went early and requested to seated in bar area. Overall, it was we expected as we were not in the quieter area of the restaurant by choice. Only issue, our special birthday dinner. The ribeye and New York strip came in piping hot and cooked as ordered. Unfortunately, they were both tough and hard to cut. Quite a bummer for our birthday dinner.

We were celebrating a birthday. The experience was amazing! Our server, Darius, was very attentive and friendly. He was quick to greet us and get our drinks, as well as taking our orders. The appetizers came out quickly. The food followed and all our meals were delicious, as was the dessert! It was a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely go back again!

Our dinner was great. The service was wonderful, and we could not of had a better experience. If you want to have a great date night out, this is the place in Reno. I don't have anything but good things to say. Great food and great service. Thank you Shaw and Michael.

When paying $400 + before tip we expect excellence. Had to wait a very long time for drink refills and our table wasn't cleaned while we ate. Server also was nice but a bit condescending at times. Food was excellent.

We were a bit early, but we're sat. Our waiter was a younger man, great personality and very helpful in selections. Not just with us, but I watched him with other tables. Food was hot, and soo delicious

So this restaurant came highly recommended, how ever it was less than satisfactory. Multiple times I watched staff run into customers being in such a hurry. The restaurant was so loud my wife could not hear a thing I said during our whole dinner. The staff did not seem to enjoy being here showing a less than satisfactory work environment. Now down to the food. The flavor was good but not great. My wife's rare steak was well done and my medium well steak was basically a pot roast. For a crisp price of 190 bucks I expected much better service and food. That being said the local outback steakhouse or even texas roadhouse has much better food cooked properly for much less money and larger portions. We ordered cocktails and if i wanted to drink the rum straight i would have just asked for the bottle. I'm not jack sparrow. Neither one of use could finish the drinks so don't waist your money and this over hyped restaurant when better food for better prices and a much better environment is available locally.

I had a less than great experience a few years ago but decided to give them another chance. Shaw waited on me and service has greatly improved to include the manager checking in. The ambiance was good but not earth-shattering. Caesar salad is about what you’d expect. I ordered a Cowboy rib eye (rare) which was prepared properly. Cost to order “Oscar style” was a little excessive but not a deal breaker. Overall I would recommend to others just know if you sit in the main dining area, this is below the parking garage and you may feel a shutter as cars pass by overhead.

Delicious and perfectly cooked food. That is all three of my stars given. For the price you pay here I expect way more. There’s no extra services. And nothing is complimentary. Its the same experience as going to your local Chili’s or Texas road house, except you spend over $100 per person. Save your money and go to western village steak house. You’ll get the same quality food for a fraction of the price, more services including; sides included, a complimentary sorbet with champagne between dishes to cleanse the pallet, table side cooking, and a hot hand towel at the end to wash up with. The kind of money you spend at ruth’s chris against the dining experience there leaves MUCH to be desired.

Came 1HR after opening on Saturday for table of 2.Only took 20mins to be Seated, only con was had to be seated near the bar instead of Nicer tables due to Business.Our server Garrett did spectacular job on being waiter ,Was Very kind & helpful on anything we needed.Can never go Wrong with Service & Quality of food.Michael floor manager was also checking on tables around to make sure everything was up to par.
